Our Strategy and Deals division operates across all Alpha clients (asset managers, wealth managers and insurers), supporting them to grow their businesses. As an Associate, you’ll work on a range of projects to build up your skills including establishing and assessing profitability, supporting entry into new markets, and providing due diligence and other similar services to clients looking to grow via acquisition. Our Associates will work across a range of these engagements and are encouraged to develop their skillset and rapidly develop your professional career with excellent experience.

Role Responsibilities

  • Delivery: Lead teams across multiple programmes simultaneously taking responsibility for ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery, adhering to program timelines
  • Drive Proposition Development: Lead and contribute to the development of compelling propositions, pitches, and bids that resonate with clients' strategic needs and differentiate our services
  • Client-Centric Approach: Able to apply a deep understanding of client challenges and objectives, translating this knowledge into strategic insights and actionable recommendations. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Articulate Alpha Proposition: Communicate our consultancy's unique value proposition to key stakeholders, showcasing our expertise and capability in solving complex business problems
  • Support Business Development: Conduct reactive research and provide innovative perspectives that support the business development and sales process, ensuring proactive client engagement and relationship management
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Proactively mentor and provide actionable feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and leveraging diverse perspectives to drive excellence.

Role Requirements

  • An enthusiasm to work in a start-up style culture and be a key part of a developing and growing team
  • 5+ years of Strategy consulting experience within a consulting firm
  • Over 5 years of combined experience within the Asset and Wealth Management sector with a deep understanding of industry dynamics. Recognised by clients as a credible expert
  • Proven track record in leading strategic consulting engagements, with a focus on delivering high-impact solutions and driving business growth
  • Ability to conduct complex data analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Adept in supporting clients with strategic planning cycles, including conducting market and competitive analysis and developing go-to-market strategies
  • Deep understanding of organisational design and restructuring within the Asset & Wealth Management sector.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a desire to develop these skills over time
  • Expert in how organisations, businesses and markets operate within their specialist segment.
  • 2:1 degree or higher from a reputable university
