This position is within the Global IS&D Operational team of the Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) and is responsible for supporting the daily functions of Marketing and Trading (M&T) Environment. The role will serve as a key contact for the business, collaborating with colleagues in London and Aberdeen to ensure secure and stable operations throughout the platform.

HBR M&T Support Specialist Requirements: 

  • Have knowledge in real-time markets, liquidity, exposures, and positions 
  • Bridge IS&D and the business with knowledge of trading apps, workflows, and market data feeds 
  • Familiarity with M&T platforms such as Trayport 
  • Knowledge and experience of Incident, Change and Problem Management (leverage ITIL process) 
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, focusing on priorities to minimise business impact. 
  • Knowledge of regulatory obligations under EMIR and REMIT .
  • Deliver continuous improvements to enable efficiency through real-time support and issue resolution 

Requirements

Experience: 

  • Oil and gas experience 
  • Trade execution systems support experience 
  • 3+ years technical experience: Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, NO-SQL databases, Windows,  
  • Experience in global organisations leveraging cross-regional teams 
  • Detailed knowledge of the oil and gas trading lifecycle, focusing on front office technology 
  • Disaster recovery/BCP 
  • Regulatory audit requirements 

Desirable Skills: 

  • ITIL  
  • AGILE methodology understanding to support 3rd party delivery 
  • Analytical methods to measure efficiency of products and processes 
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and open-source tools
