Job Description

Why this role is important to us

The ER Consultant plays a crucial role in managing employment and legal risks, ensuring our people processes align with business strategies. By partnering with HRBPs and business managers, you will support the employment implications of business changes and lead process improvements.

This is a hybrid role based in our Nottingham office reporting into our Head of ER and HR Governance.

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct Employee Relations surgeries to advise line managers on people processes.
  • Manage a variety of ER cases across the UK&I business, ensuring fair treatment of colleagues.
  • Lead small change projects, including downsizing and restructuring.
  • Support medium to large change projects, including redundancy consultations and training delivery.
  • Liaise with ACAS for early conciliation and managing DSAR requests.
  • Conduct policy reviews and manage process improvement projects.
  • Oversee the Mandatory Training process and drive management of Low End Performers (LEPs).
  • Produce monthly ER case KPI reports and support cross-data analysis.

  • Broad generalist experience in a complex, matrix environment.
  • Case management experience.
  • Project management skills, including process improvements.
  • Experience coaching, training, and mentoring line managers.
