Emerging Risk and Capital Manager

This is a great job for someone who has knowledge of the asset management industry and the risks associated with this.

A bit about the job:

The successful candidate will join the Emerging Risk and Capital team to develop, maintain, and embed the Emerging Risk, Capital (ICARA), Stress Testing, Reverse Stress Testing, and Wind Down frameworks across the business. In this role, you will support the team in quantifying Aviva Investors’ operational risk capital requirements using a statistical model. You will be responsible for completing operational risk modelling as part of the wider ICARA framework, including developing and maintaining all relevant documentation. Additionally, you will assist the team in leading all aspects of the development, monitoring, and maintenance of ICARA activities across the business.

You will integrate external market knowledge, peer group insights, and regulatory understanding with comprehensive and regular business interaction to ensure that all potential emerging risks affecting the business are identified and understood. Furthermore, you will support the team in identifying and understanding emerging risks and provide recommendations to address these risks.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience in emerging risks and capital management

  • Knowledge of emerging risk and capital management frameworks and practices across the asset management and other financial sectors

  • Understanding of ICARA and related modelling techniques such as operational risk modelling

  • Familiarity with the workings of the FCA and other global regulators, particularly their key concerns and objectives in coordinating operational risk management

  • Ability to work within a matrix-based structure, whether across global regions or different business lines
