Adyen is looking for an experienced PR Lead to drive our public relations efforts across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PR and communications, with a deep understanding of the tech industry and a proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional storytelling skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams both within EMEA and globally.

As a collaborative and creative thinker, the ideal candidate will bring experience and best practices to our in-country teams. EMEA is a dynamic and complex region for commercial PR, requiring a nuanced understanding of local cultures, diverse media landscapes, and effective messaging techniques.

You will be based in our Amsterdam office, reporting to the Head of Marketing EMEA, and will work closely with other key stakeholders, including the Global PR Lead and Communications team. 

We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional communications strategies and programs to build and manage EMEA executive thought leadership, and to drive media coverage with national and English-language tier one outlets. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Commercial leadership to craft compelling messaging for press releases, media kits, blog posts, and other PR material.
  • Enable those responsible for in-country PR to amplify global news and our public profile through key media. 
  • Collaborate with the global PR and Communications teams to ensure consistent and effective messages, coordinate on media briefings, product launches, customer wins etc.
  • Create, review and drive progress of regional and local press releases, media alerts, FAQs and briefing documents.
  • Brief senior spokespeople ahead of media engagements. 
  • Monitor and analyze PR campaign performance. Provide regular reports and insights to internal teams on PR effectiveness and media coverage.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in PR, preferably in the B2B industry
  • Proven track record in developing and executing PR campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A robust network of media contacts, preferably in English-speaking tier one media, and a solid understanding of the EMEA media landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Experience with handling sensitive issues and crisis management.
  • Proficiency in PR analytics tools and media monitoring software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20%.

  • This role is based out of the Amsterdam office. We have a hybrid workplace and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
  • This role requires international travel in EMEA
