EMEA Middle Office Trade Management Oversight, Senior Associate

Who we are looking for:

Trade Management Oversight Senior Associate that will assist with all aspects of operational support, client management and daily governance of offshore Middle Office operational support across the global teams supporting multiple products traded on behalf of EMEA administered client accounts, as well as providing a daily point of escalation for client and third party escalation and issue resolution.

A good understanding of Middle Office Trade Management Operations inclusive of trade confirmation, settlement, reconciliation and claims management. Product and Industry knowledge required across – Equity, FI, FX and ETD, inclusive of Global Markets.

Ideally 3 years’ experience within Middle Office Operations Trade related role.

What you will be responsible for:

As a Senior Associate within EMEA Middle Office Trade Management Oversight you will:

• Be responsible for the BAU Oversight of a dedicated number of clients.
• Closely monitor all inbound escalation queries and facilitate accurate and timely responses to clients and internal partners.
• Ensure that our trade confirmation teams are managing the process sufficiently throughout the working day and clearing all exceptions from the relevant system queues prior to EOD and in conjunction with custodian, market and client deadlines. Sensitivity to be applied to high risk markets and currencies.
• Monitor reporting from our offshore teams located predominantly in Poland and India in relation to unmatched/failed trades. Demonstrate an awareness of market / settlement risk for any exceptions listed. Provide guidance to the team and escalate as appropriate to internal management and broker / custodian relationship managers / clients.
• Work closely with our Trade Investigation team on stock and cash reconciliation breaks that pertain to trade related activity. Observe client SLA levels for break clearance assist JV partners navigate the various areas of State Street to achieve closure.
• Ensure close monitoring of teams responsible for manual input of transaction into the client IBOR. Encourage timely and accurate input to minimise errors on client book of records.
• Assist the centralised ALERT maintenance team with system knowledge and accesses to ensure client SSI records are loaded in a timely and accurate manner. Observe upcoming market event that may result in peaks of SSI change activity.
• Assist team leads & management to create a high standard of Governance & Control with regards to offshored processes. This includes, but is not limited to, review of daily email inboxes, monitoring of system queues and team reporting, logging and recording of errors in relevant IMS platforms, weekly touch point discussions with offshore partners and involvement of the monthly governance process.
• Work collaboratively to build trusted working relationships via close liaison with internal cross functional global teams including Data Management, Corporate Actions, Portfolio Control , Reconciliation and IT, as well as all Business Governance and Compliance teams.
• Establish strong relationships with our clients Middle Office facing teams to enhance the relationship and ensure that State Street is providing a premier service delivery.
• Observe all State Street policies and procedures issued via Business Governance including FTTOP, storage of SSI / BDI, GMAS macros, Communication classification and manual instructions.
• TM On-boarding Global OS is an essential part of the new client process, partnering with all the teams across GD to ensure successful day one go live and hypercare experience.
• Work collaboratively with all TM business units and aid with the investigation and resolution of Interest claims.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years in investment management operations.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience of client communication and interaction at all levels
• Good knowledge of ETC/STP workflow is extremely beneficial, as is experience using CTM, local middleware matching products including clearing and executing brokers for ETD, SWIFT messaging and Alert SSI database  
• Basic Excel, Word and Power Point skills preferred.
