Job Title

EMEA FI Origination Sales Hunters

Hunter:

VP, Business Development Financial Institutions - EMEA

We are looking for a hunter to drive new business growth across key markets across our EMEA region.

What a successful VP, Business Development Financial Institutions will do:

You will build trusted relationships at executive and operational levels, keep prospects informed about offerings from Fiserv and payments innovation, identify market-fit opportunities and drive deals through to commercial close.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new opportunities with financial institutions (card issuers and merchant acquirers), mobile money providers and fintech
  • Proactively source, qualify and advance opportunities through the full sales cycle, including RFx responses, solution demonstrations and executive-level pitches tailored to local market needs.
  • Lead commercial and contract negotiations from qualification to signature, coordinating internal stakeholders (technology, delivery, legal, finance, compliance and operations) to ensure commercially and operationally sound proposals.
  • Ensure proposals meet local regulatory, compliance and data residency expectations by engaging with central banks, national switches and other local payment infrastructures.
  • Build strategic, long-term relationships with banks, merchant acquirers, processors, telcos, system integrators, consulting firms and local implementation partners.
  • Monitor local and regional market trends, competitive activity and regulatory developments to inform go-to-market strategy and product fit.
  • Represent Fiserv at industry events and lead targeted business development
  • Coordinate with regional and global teams to secure implementation capacity, partner resources and delivery commitments aligned to client expectations.

What you will need to have

  • Proven experience in sales, business development or product management within payments or financial services, with a demonstrated track record of winning new business with issuers, acquirers or payment service providers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex, end-to-end sales cycles and RFx processes.
  • Customer-centric mindset, resilient hunter attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; knowledge of relevant local languages is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office productivity tools.

Ideally

  • Proven track record as a top-100 FI hunter — demonstrated success winning business from Tier-1 banks or top financial institutions in relevant markets.
  • Knowledge of regional payment rails and products (instant payment switches, mobile money platforms)
  • Prior experience with issuer and acquirer processing platforms and integrations.
  • Existing commercial relationships with banks, processors, telcos, fintechs or system integrators across the EMEA market

We are partners in possibility. If you are a results-driven payments hunter with regional expertise and the drive to grow Fiserv footprint across EMEA, we want to hear from you.
