Job Summary:
At EBV Elektronik, we are looking for an EMEA Business Development Manager – HiRel (m/f/d) to deploy and present the strategy in the HiRel (high-reliability) product segment, with a focus on Aerospace and Defense, to sales, key suppliers, and key customers across EMEA.

The role provides market guidance, develops and aligns the growth strategy with sales and other stakeholders, and identifies and drives opportunities in existing and new customers to generate sustainable revenue and margin growth in this critical segment.

The Ideal Person:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Program Development — preferably within Aerospace & Defense or electronic components.

  • Degree in Electronics engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with solid market insight.

  • Proven ability in opportunity development and disciplined pipeline management.

  • Experience in customer and supplier relationship management.

  • Technical understanding of A&D electronics.

  • Awareness of compliance requirements and risk management principles.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Excellent English skills, written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel across EMEA.

What you will be doing?

Market & Segment Strategy:

  • Analyze A&D market developments, customer trends, and platform/program roadmaps.  

  • Identify regional growth opportunities through structured market and customer-base analysis.

  • Deploy and represent EBV’s A&D product strategy across internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Strategic Customer & Account Development:

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic/focus customers in the A&D segment.

  • Build strong customer relationships at multiple levels to influence technology decisions and program engagement.

  • Actively sell into new and existing accounts, securing long-lifecycle design-in business.

  • Identify new customers, develop them through early business stages, and hand them over to Sales once established.

Business Growth & Opportunity Management:

  • Drive and monitor regional design activity, ensuring design-in and design-win progress.

  • Lead the qualification of new opportunities and shape requirements with Sales, FAEs, and technical teams.

  • Conduct joint customer visits with Sales and FAEs to secure new business and expand existing programs.

  • Track business migration activities and ensure all design-in data is captured.

Supplier & Partner Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Share relevant intelligence from suppliers and customers with internal teams to support competitive positioning.

  • Coordinate external partners and third-party specialists in customer projects where required.

Marketing & Program Execution:

  • Execute and monitor segment-specific marketing programs in cooperation with Marketing and Procurement.

  • Organize customer seminars and workshops, and represent EBV at trade shows and industry events.

Compliance, Quality & Governance:

  • Ensure full adherence to A&D regulatory requirements, including export controls (e.g., ITAR/EAR), traceability, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100).

  • Ensure compliant handling of controlled information, documents, and technology.

  • Support risk assessment in opportunities related to regulatory, contractual, and quality constraints.

  • Maintain accurate internal reporting, documentation, and CRM data in line with compliance and audit expectations.

  • Foster strong cooperation with Sales, Procurement, all Marketing departments, key customers, and suppliers.
