Responsibilities

We are strengthening our procurement organization and are looking for a Buyer who will be sharing responsibilities around the Electronics Components Category inside the Direct Procurement team. This is a Group level role working with Corporate Procurement as well as Project Management within R&D department across the Verisure Securitas Direct Group. The Buyer will report to the Electronics Category Manager inside the Spanish Direct Procurement team subordinated to the Group Direct Procurement Director.

Everyday tasks will be, among others, managing electronics suppliers in the passive, electromechanics and LEDs categories as well as  leading R&D related global RFPs & RFQs for strategic products to be developed and manufactured for Verisure´s various global markets (gathering requirements, preparation, analysis, assessment, as well as recommendations and closing),  measuring supplier performance using KPIs and supplier evaluations audits, implementing and reporting the Electronics Category Plan. Always respecting processes, policies, and procedures to support the Procurement Policy while being in the-state-of-art of the category to support new developments

Main tasks:

  • Working in Electronics Category plan in the Corporate Procurement Department
  • Support Product Design Engineers in Hardware developments
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders throughout the projects
  • Responsible for BOM negotiation with Electronics components Distributors and Manufacturers
  • Manage manufacturers of current & future developed products at Group level
  • Follow and support the implementation of the Electronics Category Plan
  • Lead initiatives to optimize and create savings opportunities
  • Contract Management, briefing and negotiating framework agreements with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance of the Procurement Policy within the Category. This responsibility includes approval and evaluation of providers, procurement processes/tender etc.

Location

The role will be reporting in Madrid but could be located in Madrid (Spain) or in Malmö (Sweden) and requires travel approximately 20 to 25 % of the time, mainly between Madrid-Malmö as well as Eastern Europe and potentially to HQ in Geneva (Switzerland).

Experience and Qualifications

Required skills

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • 3 years experience working with Electronic components and global distributors
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred skills

  • Project management experience
  • Previous experience from a large international company
  • Previous experience to support Product design engineers within both hardware (electronics) and software
