Job Description

Your position

As Electrical Engineer, you have a key role in the total electrical installation and service; from power distribution installation to the electrical tests for safety. An important aspect of your work will be reading the control diagrams, using advanced network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet, and AS-i bus. (Knowledge on Profibus is a plus) You will install and check the installation based on drawing sets for the manufacturing of the electrical enclosures and the total cabling specification, from materials right through to the installation drawings and assembly instructions for the installer You will use checklists and your experience for the commissioning of the complete installation, from connection to testing of the last I/O. In addition to the installation works you will go on service trips to service our equipment and help the customer if there is an issue. You will be working very close to the PLC engineer as well as the integration manager. You will also work with IT equipment which is also considered part of the solution. Mechanical skills and knowledge is also a plus, so during installations some mechanical tasks will need to be supported, being instructed and lead by the site supervisor/mechanical leader. We are searching a profile 70% electrical/30% mechanical.

 

Your department

You are part of the Module Deployment Group PAX. This Module Deployment Group is responsible for the deployment of all Pax product. PAX is an international team that collaborates with the full scope of the airport  division within Vanderlande. The product is deployed on a global  scale and is in a growing phase.

 

Your profile.

  • Good command of the English language is required
  • Knowledge of the design and installation of networks such as PROFIBUS, Profinet, AS-i bus and Industrial Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems.
  • Able to execute electrical/isolation tests on a integrated machine
  • Knowledge on electrical safety, grounding and electrical regulations
  • Willing to travel 50%+ of the time
