Manage and lead an electronics prototyping lab: supervise assemblers/technicians, enforce safety and calibration standards, maintain lab equipment, support prototyping projects, train staff on equipment and procedures, and improve lab processes to ensure efficient, high-quality prototype production.
Job Description
Build. Test. Lead.
Are you a master of the electronics lab who loves to lead by example? BAE Systems is seeking an Electrical Prototyping Lab Manager to run the show at our Minneapolis prototype facility. If you are as comfortable with a soldering iron as you are with a team spreadsheet, we want to talk to you.
The Role:
This isn't a "desk job." You'll be on the floor, in the thick of the action, directing a team of skilled assemblers and technicians. You will ensure our prototype environment runs like a well-oiled machine-safe, secure, and hyper-efficient.
Why You'll Love It:
Physical Requirements: This role requires regular presence in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. The incumbent must be able to access and safely navigate production areas which may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces. Must also be able to comply with all requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
