Perform AC/DC power wiring, work at height/MEWPs, complete testing/certification and handover documents, diagnose faults, follow HOPs, and meet health & safety and customer contractual requirements. National role requiring travel and a full driving licence.
Role DescriptionAs a Telecoms Electrician you will be part of our diverse team who are responsible for the successful delivery of various projects and maintenance to telecoms networks,About the Role:The role involves installation & commissioning and is Primarily a Monday-Friday. Applicants require to be flexible, assisting with overtime when required. This role is based Nationally so you will need a full driving licence and may have to work away from home.Key Responsibilities:
• Racks, PSU’s, DCDU’s, Splitters and telecoms equipment installation & commissioning to an excellent standard
• Wiring and connection of AC & DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations
• Working at height (rooftops and the like), climbing access ladders, scaffold and working out of MEWPs required
• Testing & Certification
• HOP’s
• To pro-actively understand our customers’ needs and work to meet our contractual obligations
Required Qualification and Experience:• Relevant telecoms qualifications• Excellent organisation and communication skills• A high focus on health and safety at work• Experience in completion of handover documents• Ability to be pro-active and resolve or escalate issues quickly• Previous work as a field engineer/electrician in the telecoms sector• Previous electrical or mechanical work• A strong set of IT skills which would include the Microsoft Office products, mobile phone work apps and online time sheets• An interest in new equipment & technology and keenness to learn about it• Analytical skills and logical thinking to assist in fault diagnosis and resolutionDesirable Qualification and Experience:• City and Guilds 2391 Inspect and Test• 18th Edition• Electrical: 5 years’ experience (3 years in telecoms)• Full Driving Licence• Emergency first aid at work• Fixed ladder rescue• Asbestos awareness• Manual handlingSimilar Jobs
