Role Overview

This is a 2-year Fixed-Term Contract opportunity to join Formula 1's Race Engineering and Infrastructure team, helping to develop the power systems and electrical infrastructure that underpin Formula 1's global race operations.

Working behind the scenes of one of the world's most technologically advanced sports, you will transform operational requirements into innovative electrical solutions, designing everything from temporary power distribution systems and technical service pods to custom switchgear assemblies and UPS-backed systems. Your work will directly support the infrastructure that enables Formula 1 to operate safely, reliably and efficiently at events across the globe.

From developing initial concepts and detailed schematics through to manufacture, testing and deployment, you will play a key role throughout the entire product lifecycle. Collaborating with Project Engineers, Operations teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners, you'll help bring new ideas to life while ensuring solutions are practical, compliant and ready to perform in demanding live event environments.

At Formula 1, your designs won't stay on the drawing board. You'll play a hands-on role in developing, refining and delivering electrical solutions that support race operations around the world, turning ideas into real-world systems that power the infrastructure behind the Formula One World Championship. Whether developing bespoke electrical products, enhancing existing systems or contributing to the next generation of power and infrastructure solutions, you'll play a part in powering the championship both on and off the track.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop temporary power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure and bespoke power solutions that support Formula 1's global race operations.
