eFI Quantitative Analyst

The Financial Markets (FM) landscape is rapidly going through a process of digitisation, at the core of which is eTrading. eTrading at ING covers all products traded in ING FM. These span from the very liquid and electronic products (cash equities, futures, commodities and FX), Fixed Income products (corporate and government bonds) which are in the process of becoming electronic due to balance sheet reduction and regulation, to the less liquid and less electronic derivative products. Data is core to eTrading and eTrading also covers the data and business intelligence strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

The eFI quantitative analyst will be responsible for developing eTrading strategies across electronic fixed incoming trading strategies covering global rates and credit, in both cash and derivatives.

Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education

  • Essential: MSc in quantitative subject
  • Desired: PhD in quantitative subject.       

Experience/Knowledge

Essential:           

  • 1-5 years’ experience either

    • working on an electronic trading desk developing pricing and hedging strategies, ideally in eRates and/or eCredit, or,

    • working on quant research with strong AI techniques

  • Strong research, statistical, and analysis skills;

  • Interest in financial markets;

  • Experience with either of Python, KDB.

Desirable:

  • Experience in hands-on production quantitative trading strategies research

  • Experience in hands-on AI research;
