The Role:

As an EDI Engineer within our Digital & Data team, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless electronic data interchange between Deckers Brands and our valued business partners across EMEA. You’ll design, implement, and maintain integration solutions that power our business operations, leveraging your expertise in both traditional EDI standards and modern API integrations. If you’re passionate about optimizing data exchange, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence, this is the perfect opportunity to make a real impact.

Your Impact: 

  • Develop and maintain mapping, workflows, and integrations to facilitate secure and efficient data exchange with external trading partners
  • Design and develop APIs to support EDI processes for orders, invoices, shipments, and related documents
  • Translate business requirements into technical integration specifications using APIs, JSON, XML, and other data formats
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT), and data governance policies
  • Manage and support integrations across Order Management Systems (OMS), ERP, and external partner systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather requirements and ensure compliance with API standards
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI/API transactions, resolving errors to ensure smooth information flow
  • Create and maintain documentation for EDI processes, API specifications, and trading partner profiles
  • Coordinate onboarding of new partners, manage integration testing, and resolve data exchange issues
  • Stay current with industry trends in EDI protocols and recommend improvements for operational efficiency
  • Provide training and support to internal users on EDI/API processes and best practices
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance
  • Assist in managing EDI projects, including upgrades, implementations, and enhancements

  • Strong technical skills and passion for technology
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working towards deadlines

We would Love to Hear from People with: 

  • Hands-on experience with EDI protocols and standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2)
  • Proficiency with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, or similar)
  • Experience with API-based integrations and EDI platforms
  • Solid understanding of HTTP, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and API lifecycle management
  • Proficient in SQL, XML, JSON, and scripting languages
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail and data integrity
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and their integration with EDI processes
  • Knowledge of order-to-cash (O2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes is a plus
