Job Description

S&W is building a new Economics Advisory team to deliver advisory and independent expert services to corporates, economic regulators, government bodies, and their legal advisers. Working on high‑profile issues in today’s economy, from competition and regulatory matters to business transformation, valuation and econometrics, we are creating a team that will redefine what exceptional advisory work looks like.

We are looking to grow the team throughout 2026 and are looking to speak to talented individuals across all levels, including:

  • Analyst
  • Assistant Manager
  • Manager
  • Senior Manager
  • Associate Director
  • Director

Across all levels, our team members will be involved in:

High-impact economic and advisory work

  • Regulatory economics, competition analysis, market investigations, and economic modelling
  • Economic valuation, econometrics, quantitative and qualitative research
  • Cross-sector exposure including Financial Services, Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Transport and emerging regulated markets.

Client-facing responsibility

  • Working directly with senior stakeholders
  • Drafting and presenting analysis, insights, and reports
  • Contributing to proposals, pitches, and development of new service offerings

A collaborative and ambitious culture

  • Close mentorship from Partners and Directors committed to your development
  • A supportive, intellectually rigorous environment
  • Opportunities to help shape the identity, services, and culture of a new and fast-growing team

Qualifications

We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who bring some of the following:

  • Strong academic grounding in Economics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field (postgraduate desirable for many roles)
  • Experience in areas such as:
    • Economic consulting
    • Regulatory or competition economics
    • Public policy, applied microeconomics, or econometrics
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling insights
  • Intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and a commitment to high-quality delivery
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for contributing to a growing, dynamic practice
