Purpose of the role

  • Work as part of the senior management team to develop long term strategy whilst supporting company Omnichannel goals.
  • Make sure that ROI of all E Commerce activity is maximised, within budgeted levels and supports the business objectives of the company.
  • Maintain the premium qualities of the TEMPUR® Brand within the digital marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan and execute a full year promotional calendar and sales strategy which includes opportunities to test and learn.
  • With the UK commercial leadership team identify new market opportunities and lead the execution of strategies to realise them
  • Work with the UK marketing team and agencies to maximise ROAS, consumer awareness and consideration.  Specific focus on performance marketing.
  • Support UK E commerce team with the day to day E Commerce operation and identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Follow up on offline leads, support enquiries and sales opportunities from non-retailers such as interior designers, architects, specifiers and medical practitioners.
  • Explore commercial opportunities within the e-commerce sector to boost sales.
  • Work closely with the TEMPUR® Marketing Manager to make sure that all omnichannel initiatives are delivered effectively, and sales are maximised.
  • Develop strategies and new concepts to increase conversion rates and AOV
  • Be competent at budget and cost management
  • Develop and manage the digital integration, product feeds, content, promotional activity and sales strategy across third party websites including Google Shopping, affiliate networks and review sites
  • Use internal reporting and third-party systems including Google Analytics to analyse performance
  • Create a performance reporting system, plus ensure all future online promotions/offers are communicated to key stakeholders prior to launch
  • Be involved with the development of email advocacy and social media programmes
  • Undertake reviews of customer touch points and processes in other departments such as operations and customer services to deliver the best customer experience
  • Build relationships across all departments (at a local and international level, e-commerce agencies and suppliers to make sure e-commerce goals are met and customer experience levels are high)
  • Keep up to date with digital trends as well as competitor activity
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks that the business demands and be willing to embrace new concepts
  • A senior manager of the company and a member of the company leadership team.  Lead by example and set the standard

 Dimensions

  • TEMPUR® runs with a small, practical, multi-channel E-Commerce and Marketing team.  The job holder will be expected to be able to work effectively with the MD, Marketing Director and International E-Commerce department. 
  • The job holder will need to direct the work of and motivate external marketing agencies/suppliers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Be able to effectively recruit and manage an E commerce team as sales grow for our 2025 product and channel launch.
  • The job holder is responsible for achieving company e-commerce KPIs and targets.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • We are looking for an experienced, confident, enthusiastic, commercially minded and customer focused e-commerce professional with ambition to manage and grow this division within our business.
  • Previous website management essential, with excellent attention to detail and the desire to strive to get things right. A track record in developing and achieving E Commerce strategy
  • Experience of managing performance marketing programs that deliver strong ROAS and sales performance
  • An articulate and a clear communicator
  • Flexible and able to embrace new concepts
  • Must be self-sufficient with the ability to bring new ideas to the department

Reporting Structure

  • This role will report to the UK Marketing Director.
  • The role will be based at our Head Office (Hayes UB3 1AP)
  • 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday 9am-5pm). On occasions, you must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business, which can include evenings and overnight stays.
