Role Overview:

At Infinity Group, we’re not just implementing Business Central - we’re helping organisations rethink how they operate.

We’re the Microsoft Business Central Partner of the Year winner, and that hasn’t come from following playbooks. It’s come from getting under the skin of businesses, understanding how they really work, and designing solutions that actually move the needle.

This role sits at the centre of that.

You’ll work directly with clients across multiple industries, business models, and levels of maturity - translating complexity into clarity, and building solutions that solve real-world problems, not just system requirements.

If you enjoy variety, challenge, and influence - this is where it happens.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture centred on Dynamics 365 Business Central, covering system design, solution boundaries, and integration intent
  • Define how Business Central operates as the core ERP platform, with clear boundaries to Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and external systems
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders to understand business outcomes and operating models, not just requirements
  • Translate complex environments into clear, scalable BC-led architecture and solution blueprints
  • Shape solutions that prioritise standard BC capability, supported by ISVs, Power Platform, and controlled customisation
  • Own the integration landscape at a solution level, including:
    • What integrates
    • What data flows
    •
    • Key non-functional requirements (frequency, latency, volumes, criticality) (with Technical Architects owning detailed design and implementation)
    • Be the accountable solution design authority and own key decisions and trade-offs, ensuring alignment to architecture and disciplined change control
    • Define and enforce a strong change control approach, ensuring impacts to scope, integrations, and non-functional requirements are understood and made explicit
    • Support pre-sales and shaping activities, including:
    • Leading or contributing to solution definition during bids and discovery
    • Translating high-level requirements into credible solution approaches and architecture
    • Supporting estimation through structured assumptions and solution breakdown
    • Contribute to commercial confidence, ensuring proposed solutions are deliverable, scalable, and aligned to BC best practice
    • Perform peer review of solution designs, estimates, and architectural decisions to maintain consistency and quality across the practice
    • Collaborate with Technical Architects and delivery teams to ensure alignment between solution intent and technical execution
    • Contribute to the evolution of architecture standards, design governance, and BC delivery methodology
    • Lead and mentor Functional Consultants, driving capability, consistency, and delivery across projects and the team.

The kind of problems you’ll solve

    You’ll work across:

  • Different sectors with completely different operating models
  • Clients at varying levels of digital maturity
  • Businesses with legacy complexity, fragmented processes, or scaling challenges
  • You’ll need to quickly understand:

  • How a business actually runs (not how it thinks it runs)
  • Where BC fits - and where it needs extending
  • How to design something that works both technically and commercially

What sets you apart

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central (core focus)
  • Strong working knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, and how they complement BC in a controlled, intentional way
  • Proven experience designing BC-led solution architecture across complex, multi-system landscapes
  • Strong understanding of integration strategy and non-functional design, with the ability to define integration intent without owning technical implementation
  • Experience working alongside Technical Architects in a clear SA / TA separation of responsibilities
  • Strong domain understanding of manufacturing and warehousing in Business Central, including:
    • Production models (make-to-stock, make-to-order, assembly)
    • Planning (MRP/MPS)
    • Warehouse configurations
    • Inventory flows, traceability, and operational constraints
    • Ability to design solutions that correctly position BC manufacturing and warehousing capabilities, avoiding over-extension into custom or external systems unless justified
    • Strong track record of owning architecture on complex ERP implementations
    • Ability to translate business problems into clear architectural models, system boundaries, and solution blueprints
    • Strong judgement on when to use standard BC vs ISVs vs Power Platform vs custom development
    • Confidence leading senior stakeholder workshops, shaping thinking and challenging assumptions
    • A pragmatic mindset — balancing architecture integrity, delivery constraints, and commercial reality
    • A strong change control mindset, with the ability to:
      • Challenge and control scope evolution that undermines solution design or MVP clarity
      • Assess change requests against architecture, integration impact, and commercial outcomes
      • Prevent “silent scope creep” by making impacts and trade-offs explicit to stakeholders
      • Maintain design integrity under delivery pressure, rather than incrementally eroding it

Your impact:

  • Your solutions will directly influence how clients operate, scale, and grow
  • You’ll shape delivery standards and architectural thinking across the practice
  • You’ll elevate the capability of consultants around you
  • You’ll play a key role in maintaining our position as a top-tier Microsoft partner

What it's like here:

  • Ambitious, but not political
  • High standards, but pragmatic
  • People who care about doing things properly — not just hitting numbers
  • You’ll get:

  • Real ownership of how sales evolves
  • Freedom to change things that don’t work
  • A team open to being challenged and developed
  • Direct access to leadership and influence over direction

What you get:

  • Unlimited annual leave
  • Private healthcare, life assurance, company shares
  • Electric car scheme
  • Flexible / remote working (with access to Tunbridge Wells & Paddington)
  • Team and company socials, including Illuminate Awards
