About the role
We are looking for a Due Diligence Manager to play a key role within our Compliance team, helping to ensure Volt continues to grow responsibly while maintaining high risk and regulatory standards.
Reporting directly to our SVP Risk & Compliance, this role will own and develop our merchant and partner due diligence processes, working closely with Commercial, Risk, and Operations teams. You will help balance commercial growth with thoughtful risk management, ensuring that new business opportunities are assessed efficiently and appropriately.
This role comes with a high level of responsibility, autonomy, and scope to shape how we operate. You will have the opportunity to improve processes, introduce automation, and help build a best-in-class due diligence capability that supports Volt’s continued global expansion.
What the role involves
- Supporting responsible revenue growth
- Partnering closely with the Commercial team to assess new merchants, partners and opportunities
- Conducting detailed due diligence reviews across a range of sectors, ensuring risks are properly understood and managed
- Enabling commercial teams to move quickly while maintaining strong compliance standards
- Relationship management
- Working directly with merchants and partners, both synchronously and asynchronously, to gather required due diligence information
- Building trusted relationships internally and externally to ensure efficient information flow and decision-making
- Risk assessment and decision support
- Managing and documenting internal risk assessments and recommendations
- Supporting internal decision-making by clearly articulating risks and mitigation options
- Working collaboratively with Compliance and Risk leadership on complex cases
- Process improvement and automation
- Reviewing and enhancing existing due diligence frameworks and workflows
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and tooling
- Helping to build scalable processes that support the company as it grows
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Working closely with Compliance, Commercial, Risk, and Operations
- Communicating clearly with internal stakeholders on due diligence outcomes and requirements
- Contributing to upskilling the business on risk awareness and good compliance practices
Requirements
About you
You are naturally curious, detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to balance commercial context with strong risk judgement.
You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, collaborating with multiple teams, and taking ownership of complex investigations or reviews.
Key qualities we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in fintech/payments
- Experience working with due diligence, risk assessment or onboarding processes, applying internal policies and regulatory requirements in practice.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of regulations in the fintech and payments sectors
- due diligence processes and requirements,
- Experience or familiarity with sectors such as iGaming, FX, Stablecoin / Crypto, Retail or Ecommerce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
- A process-driven mindset with a passion for improving how things work
- Analytical and investigative thinking
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
- A self-starter who enjoys ownership and autonomy
What happens next?
- Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview with our Talent Acquisition representative. The video meeting will take about 30 minutes,
- Then it’s time for a second interview! The meeting will be conducted by our Department Team Lead and will last 1 hour,
- Our CEO would also like to chat with you :) You can expect the meeting to last approximately 30 minutes,
- If successful, you will be given a job offer proposal.
