We are looking for an experienced and driven Drainage PPM Manager to lead the planning and delivery of planned preventative maintenance activities across the Rail Division's drainage contracts.
The role is responsible for compiling, managing, and monitoring the PPM programme, ensuring planned drainage inspections and maintenance activities are delivered efficiently, safely, and in accordance with contractual requirements. Working closely with the Contract Manager, Service Coordinators, Duty Engineers, and client representatives, you will ensure the PPM programme remains on track and that issues identified through planned inspections are appropriately assessed and progressed.
A key part of the role will be the technical review and verification of drainage CCTV surveys. The successful candidate will need to understand drainage assets, accurately interpret CCTV findings, identify defects, and determine the appropriate maintenance or remedial requirement.
The role is highly client-facing and will require regular attendance at client meetings, providing clear updates on programme performance, emerging issues, planned works, and recommendations.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Key Responsibilities

    • Compile and manage annual and short-term PPM programmes in line with contractual requirements and client priorities.
    • Coordinate the delivery of planned drainage inspections, CCTV surveys, cleaning, maintenance, and associated works.
    • Monitor programme progress and identify potential delays, resource constraints, or delivery risks.
    • Work closely with operational teams to ensure PPM works are appropriately planned and resourced.
    • Review and technically verify drainage CCTV reports to ensure defects, asset information, and recommendations are accurately recorded.
    • Assess CCTV findings and determine appropriate follow-on actions, including further investigation, cleaning, repair, or remedial works.
    • Ensure PPM activities are correctly recorded within relevant job management and client systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of completed, outstanding, and deferred PPM activities.
    • Attend regular client meetings and provide clear updates on PPM performance, programme progress, risks, and outstanding works.
    • Liaise with the client to agree priorities, programme changes, and responses to identified defects.
    • Work closely with the Asset Champion and CAD team to ensure asset information identified through PPM activities is accurately captured and updated.
    • Support the Performance Manager with performance reporting, KPI reviews, and contractual requirements.
    • Monitor the quality of completed PPM works and ensure appropriate evidence is captured.
    • Identify recurring defects and trends within the PPM programme and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies.
    • Ensure all planned works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
    • Support the development and continuous improvement of PPM processes across the Rail Division.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Proven experience in a drainage, planned maintenance, utilities, rail, or infrastructure environment.
    • Strong understanding of drainage systems, assets, and maintenance requirements.
    • Proven experience reviewing and technically assessing drainage CCTV surveys, including the ability to identify defects and determine appropriate remedial actions.
    • Experience compiling, managing, and monitoring planned maintenance programmes.
    • Experience working directly with clients and attending operational or performance meetings.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple programmes and competing priorities.
    • Good understanding of contractual requirements and KPI-driven service delivery.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and job management systems.
    • Full UK driving licence.

    Benefits

    • 24 days holiday
    • Pension scheme and death-in-service benefit
