About the Opportunity
Amentum is a key delivery partner within the Decommissioning and Nuclear Waste Partners (DNWP) Framework, a major Sellafield programme worth up to £4.6 billion and running for up to 15 years. The framework is focused on safely accelerating decommissioning, remediation and high‑hazard risk reduction across one of the most complex nuclear sites in the world.
Our nuclear team supports the front‑end design, engineering, technical leadership and delivery expertise required across the DNWP portfolio. We are looking for individuals with high‑value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to who can work collaboratively, embrace new challenges and contribute to the mission of safely and efficiently delivering Sellafield’s decommissioning and nuclear waste objectives.
The Document Controller is responsible for the management, control, and assurance of project and operational documentation within a regulated nuclear environment. This role ensures that all documentation is accurate, traceable, compliant with nuclear safety and security standards, and available to project teams, regulators, and stakeholders in line with strict quality and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Expediting and coordinating information in line with demanding programmes
Ensuring all documentation is managed in compliance with processes, policies and procedures.
Provide support with regards to document numbering, Revisions and the application of metadata.
Receive, issue and control project documentation
Check compliance and quality of documents
Attend project meetings to provide support and address any issues to ensure the effective flow of documentation
Provide Data Management System training where necessary
Liaise and provide support to supply chain
Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure the information being processed complies with their requirements for handover.
Update project documentation trackers
Maintain Projects filing (ProjectWise)
Provide support to Document Control Manager
Here’s What You’ll Need
Experience as a Document Controller within a highly regulated environment
GCSE Grade C / 4 or above in Maths, English, Science, Computer Science (or equivalent)
Ability and Commitment to working towards CQI Foundation Certificate in Quality Management
ISO 9001 Awareness (Desirable)
Knowledge of various Electronic Data Management Systems
Proficient in MS Office tools
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work with sensitive information in a secure and compliant manner
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Team‑focused, collaborative, and professional.
Ability to obtain Sellafield BPSS security clearance and P4 pass
