Are you a highly experienced technical leader with a passion for solving complex challenges and driving innovation?As a Distinguished Staff Engineer at Thredd, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision of our organisation. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll lead engineering excellence, mentoring  teams, and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, and mentor teams to achieve excellence.
• Design robust, scalable, and maintainable systems to tackle complex challenges.
• Influence technical strategy, identify opportunities for innovation, and integrate emerging technologies.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Establish rigorous coding standards and implement best practices across the organisation.
• Contribute to the strategic technical roadmap, aligning engineering efforts with organisational goals.

What You'll Bring:

• Extensive software engineering experience with proven leadership in delivering complex projects.
• Strong expertise in Python full-stack development, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Gitflow, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
