Job Description
The Discounter Channel Business Development Manager will play a central role in driving discount channel sales across 17 Eastern European countries, focusing primarily on Lidl & Kaufland, the region's largest discounters. This role will act as a bridge between Kraft Heinz, Lidl / Kaufland central buyer, and local distributors, ensuring pricing, promotions, and strategies are aligned across markets.
This position will report to the Head of Sales Eastern Europe and is based in Amsterdam.

Pricing & agreement:
- Negotiation with central buyer for yearly pricing alignment across BU
- Collaborate with the central buyer to align on county-specific needs and opportunities
Promotion Planning & Management:
- Track the execution of promotional plans, analyze performance, and optimize future promotional activities
- Monitor local competition with BDMs input, negotiate with central buyers to add country specific activities to price agreement
P&L:
- Owning discounters P&L in BU level, improve bottom line performance by understanding the cost to serve and distributor compensation on a country-by-country basis.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain routine catch-up meetings with Lidl's & Kaufland central buyer to compare the local performance of countries and explore extra opportunities
- Understand local market flexibilities, implement and align with Lidl central buyer on incremental opportunities as they arise
Performance tracking & reporting:
- Monitor sales performance of Lidl & Kaufland across the region and ensure alignment with annual targets
- Provide regular insights and reports to regional leadership to support decision making
Key Skills & Competencies:
- 5+ years of previous relevant experience,
- Strong negotiation and communication skills,
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations,
- Strong relationship management skills,
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
