Overview
The Mastercard Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Director, Talent Acquisition to join our European team. The role will lead our Commercial New Payment Flow and Core talent acquisition organisation across Europe.
This role is responsible for driving best-in-class talent acquisition practises and strategies, ensuring we are attracting and engaging with top talent across Europe. Reporting into the Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition, APEEMEA, the role will manage a broader team of 9 high-performing recruiters (across UK and Portugal and including Managers), with responsibility for experienced hiring across the business units.
Based in our London office (Cannon Street) the Director would ensure our recruitment programs are scalable and implemented, acting as a consultant for the region (advising on market strategy/trends and overall hiring approaches).
This role would be a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite)
All About the Role |
In this Director, Talent Acquisition position you will:
Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for CNPF and Core business units across Europe, aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Drive best-in-class talent acquisition practices, including employer branding, sourcing strategies, recruitment technology, and candidate experience.
Lead, coach, and inspire a team of nine direct reports, fostering a high-performance, data-driven, and inclusive culture. Consistently reviewing team structure and adapting as required by business needs.
Ensure compliance with local employment regulations and global TA policies across all hiring activities
Utilize data and analytics to optimize recruitment performance, measure success, and provide insights on talent trends and market conditions.
Collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Management etc.) to align TA strategies that address talent needs for the European region and the business units specifically.
Build strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, and industry networks, to expand our talent reach.
Manage Global Talent Acquisition projects as they relate to the Global Talent Acquisition Transformation as well as coordinating the change management of those across the European TA team.
Encourages the adoption of Mastercard Way behaviours to reach business goals.
All About You |
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Proven experience in leading talent acquisition teams (Managing Managers) within a European remit, preferably in a complex, fast-paced, or multinational environment.
• Successfully developed and implemented talent acquisition strategies and programs that balance internal business unit demands and conditions of the external business unit/market in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
• Experience developing integrated sourcing, marketing, and branding strategies to support talent acquisition goals.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior business leaders on hiring strategies.
• Deep understanding of European talent markets, hiring trends, and employment laws
• Preferred experience would be Talent Acquisition experience in a regulated environment.
• Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with experience in recruitment analytics and reporting.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Fluent English is required.
Knowledge of Workday as an ATS is preferred but not required
