About the Role
The Shark Beauty Director, UKI is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall performance of a product category (e.g. Shark Beauty, Shark Clean & Home, or Ninja), with day-to-day ownership of a specific sub-category such as Hair, Home Environment, or Coffee.
Based in London with a hybrid working model (3 days per week), this role drives category growth, profitability, and market share through strong commercial leadership and disciplined execution. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the SS&A Category Director is a powerful market voice-ensuring everything is in place to win every day, on every SKU, and with every customer.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Own category growth and overall performance within the UKI market
  • Define, track, and communicate clear category objectives and KPIs
  • Build strong partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development to deliver exceptional commercial outcomes
  • Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial reviews, driving short- and long-term actions
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand prioritized channels and acquire new customers in line with the Category Strategy
  • Identify opportunities to increase distribution and market share across customers
  • Monitor market trends to unlock growth opportunities and proactively mitigate risks
  • Oversee portfolio management including pricing, SKU introductions, and discontinuations
  • Ensure optimal product assortment, merchandising, and promotional strategies (short- and long-term)
  • Own category financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, promotional investment, and profitability
  • Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and margin improvement strategies
  • Lead and collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and R&D
  • Lead, coach, and develop SS&A leads and analysts, driving both business results and individual growth through structured performance and development planning
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in category management, commercial management, or a related operational role
  • Strong analytical capability with a strategic and critical mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated people leadership capability with a passion for coaching and developing talent
  • Willingness to travel as required
