  • Buy-side advisory assignments
  • Capital raises and accelerated fundraising processes

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day execution of complex M&A transactions, often in distressed or time-sensitive situations.
  • Managing transaction workstreams, timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications.
  • Preparing and reviewing Information Memorandums, management presentations, financial analysis and marketing materials.
  • Developing buyer and investor universes and managing engagement with potential counterparties.
  • Leading discussions with management teams, lenders, shareholders, insolvency practitioners, legal advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting Managing Directors in originating and executing new opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with restructuring professionals, lenders, sponsors, investors and corporate decision makers.
  • Managing, coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, thought leadership, networking events and market-facing activities.

Essential traits:

  • Demonstrable experience leading M&A transactions within a Special Situations M&A, Corporate Finance, Restructuring M&A, Distressed M&A or equivalent advisory environment.
  • Experience executing accelerated transaction processes, distressed sales, carve-outs, non-core disposals or special situations transactions.
  • Strong understanding of transaction execution, deal structuring, buyer engagement and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading teams.
  • Strong financial analysis and commercial judgement.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
