Job Purpose

As Director, Solutions Engineering at Unily, you will lead and manage our presales engineering team on a global scale. You will be responsible for shaping our presales strategy, driving technical excellence, and ensuring that our team effectively supports the sales efforts. This role is pivotal in showcasing our SaaS solutions and driving revenue growth.


Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a global team. Setting team goals, monitor performance, and provide mentorship and guidance. Whilst fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Develop and execute a global presales strategy in alignment with company objectives. Implementing best practices for lead generation, customer engagement, and conversion.
  • Continuously refine and adapt the strategy based on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Unily's SaaS products, solutions, and services.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition to potential customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure a coordinated approach to customer engagement and conversions. Providing technical insights and expertise to support these functions.
  • Serve as the ultimate technical authority within the presales team. Addressing complex technical inquiries and challenges from potential customers. Engaging with prospective customers to understand their unique needs and challenges.
  • Customise Unily's solutions to meet specific customer requirements and effectively demonstrate their benefits.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
  • Assist the Sales team in closing deals by providing technical expertise, addressing objections, and helping customers understand the technical aspects of our solutions.
  • Ensure that the solutions engineering team has access to the necessary documentation, training materials, and resources. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the presales team's efforts.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to company leadership.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the SaaS space.
  • Manage the budget for the global presales engineering team. Ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the team's objectives.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in solutions engineering or a similar technical leadership role within the SaaS industry. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed (if applicable)
