Job Description

The candidate for this role will work with our product development, segment innovation and commercial teams to proactively lead the Technical Sales team for our fast-growing Sensor related product lines. The selected candidate for the role will:

  • Empower and enable a team of seasoned Technical Salespeople by leveraging skill sets, deep industry knowledge and key relationships
  • Support team member's personal development and overall growth
  • Build a sustainable organisation that drives growth well into the future through team engagement, knowledge sharing, cross training and clear succession planning
  • Manage current portfolio of business in EU
  • Assess other key opportunities to advise where we should invest
  • Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities for assigned products leading to successful commercialisation efforts
  • Incorporate knowledge of the industry to partner with stakeholders to develop market right products, and support materials and pricing recommendations across all RFID solutions
  • Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, and present compelling solutions
  • Initiate, determine, and present ROI business case analysis
  • Stay abreast of industry trends by attending trade shows, events and staying on top of market insights as well as global branding trends
  • Surface new ideas, products applications and solution to development teams
  • Communicate and link key value propositions, differentiators to customers with RBIS solutions set
  • Craft customised go-to-market strategies for regions and individual customers
  • Develop long-term business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with business partners at the customers’ organisations
  • Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, ensure quality

Qualifications

Avery Dennison has a long history of being a market leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following: 

  • Deep knowledge and experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, or sales, with extensive expertise in the RFID industry
  • Experience in leading a team including securing individual development and engagement of team members as well as business growth
  • Strong working knowledge of the RFID industry required
  • Expertise in putting together strategy plans & ROI analysis
  • Deep knowledge of the retail apparel market required
  • Ability to develop go-to market strategy, as well as execute activities in cross functional matrix structure
  • Detail oriented, project management and communication skills a must
  • Strong influencing skills and storytelling skills and ability to champion projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communications, and organisational skills
  • Ability to travel frequently
