Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused Director, Senior Corporate Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor to the UK affiliate during the launch and commercialization of its first oncology product.

Initially reporting to the VP, Legal, Europe, with a strong dotted reporting line to the General Manager, UK and Ireland, this role will provide practical, risk-based legal advice across commercial operations, market access, competition law, healthcare compliance, contracting, litigation and external stakeholder engagement. Once recruited, the incumbent will report to the Associate General Counsel, Europe.

The successful candidate will be a proactive business partner who balances legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced launch environment.

This is an opportunity to shape the legal strategy for one of the Company’s key European markets while partnering closely with UKI and European leadership to help build a high-performing commercial organization.

This role complements the Associate Director, Corporate Counsel Distributor Markets, Europe position. Together, they create a clean split of responsibilities:

  • UKI Counsel: In-market legal support for the UKI affiliate, including the GM, market access, competition law, litigation, local legal issues, and business partnerships.

  • Distributor Markets Counsel: Cross-border commercial contracting and governance for all European distributor markets outside the company's direct affiliate footprint, with responsibility for negotiating and managing distribution relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partner

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the General Manager, UKI and local Leadership Team.

  • Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to support commercial decision-making and business strategy.

  • Participate as a trusted member of the UKI leadership team, proactively identifying legal risks and opportunities.

  • Support the successful launch and ongoing commercialization of the Company's oncology portfolio in the UK and Ireland.

Commercial, Contracting & Business Partner Support & In-Market Legal Advice

  • Advise on commercial operations in the UK and Ireland, including Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Finance.

  • Provide legal support for promotional activities, field-based engagements, digital initiatives, early access and patient support programs.

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with consultants, vendors, service providers and strategic partners.

  • Support third-party due diligence, collaboration governance and ongoing business partner relationship management.

Market Access & Pricing

  • Lead legal support for pricing, reimbursement, tenders, healthcare contracting and market access initiatives.

  • Draft and negotiate rebate agreements, market access agreements and value-based arrangements with statutory and private healthcare stakeholders.

  • Partner with Market Access and Government Affairs to assess the legal impact of evolving reimbursement policies.

Competition & Healthcare Law

  • Advise on UK, Irish and European competition law issues affecting pharmaceutical commercialization, including pricing, distribution, information exchanges, collaborations, tenders and competitor interactions.

  • Counsel teams on healthcare professional engagements, transfers of value, sponsorships, grants and interactions with healthcare organizations.

  • Partner with Compliance to support adherence to applicable pharmaceutical industry codes and internal policies.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

  • Manage actual and threatened litigation involving the UKI

  • Coordinate with external counsel on commercial disputes, regulatory matters, employment-related legal issues (working alongside Employment Counsel), product-related claims and investigations.

  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with the VP Legal, Europe

    and senior management.

  • Manage legal holds, investigations and dispute resolution processes.

Regulatory & Local Legal Support

  • Advise on UK and Irish legal requirements impacting commercial operations.

  • Support implementation of new legislation affecting pharmaceutical companies.

  • Provide legal guidance on consumer protection, unfair competition, advertising, procurement and commercial regulations.

  • Coordinate with specialist external counsel on complex local law matters where appropriate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Human Resources.

  • Support audits, compliance initiatives and implementation of legal policies, templates and best practices across Europe.

  • Develop and deliver legal training to the UKI affiliate.

Outside Counsel Management

  • Select, instruct and manage UK and Irish external counsel.

  • Oversee litigation budgets and legal spend to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality legal services.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • J.D. or equivalent law degree and admission to practice in at least one U.S. state or European jurisdiction. 10+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house or law firm experience supporting the life sciences industry.

  • Strong knowledge of UK and Irish pharmaceutical law, commercial legal issues, competition law, healthcare compliance and promotional regulations, including relevant industry codes.

  • Experience advising commercial pharmaceutical organizations, including market access, reimbursement or healthcare contracting matters.

  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior business leaders in a highly regulated environment.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10–20% within the UK and Ireland and internationally, including periodic travel to the Company’s U.S. and European offices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting oncology or specialty pharmaceutical products.

  • In-house legal experience supporting a UKI pharmaceutical affiliate.

  • Experience supporting a first commercial launch.

  • Familiarity with UK and Irish healthcare systems, market access, pricing, reimbursement and HTA frameworks, including NICE and relevant Irish reimbursement processes.

  • Experience managing commercial litigation and regulatory investigations.

  • Fluency in English.
