Director of Savings

At Castle Trust Bank, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers. 

This role can be based in either our Basingstoke or London office, however frequent travel to the Basingstoke office will be required. Our hybrid working model is 3 days a week in the office and 2 days at home.

The role and what you’ll lead and deliver:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Savings to lead the Bank’s Savings proposition and drive the next phase of growth.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining strategy, owning product performance and pricing, and delivering innovation across our savings portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Bank’s customer proposition and growth trajectory.

Savings Strategy & Proposition

  • Define and deliver the long-term strategy for the Savings and investment proposition
  • Identify growth opportunities including new products, markets and partnerships
  • Translate strategy into clear, deliverable plans aligned to the Bank’s objectives

Product Performance & Pricing

  • Own end-to-end product performance including pricing, margins and financial outcomes
  • Work closely with Treasury and Finance to optimise balance sheet performance
  • Monitor market trends and competitive positioning

Customer & Market Insight

  • Lead market analysis and insight development
  • Use customer data to enhance customer journeys and outcomes
  • Champion a customer-first approach

Leadership

  • Lead and develop high-performing Product and Pricing teams
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate across the organisation

Marketing & Distribution

  • Oversee marketing strategy and performance
  • Drive effective distribution channels
  • Align targeting, proposition and brand positioning

Risk & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and conduct frameworks
  • Manage product risks and governance processes
  • Provide clear oversight and reporting to senior stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

Essential

  • Significant experience in product management within Retail Banking with specific experience within the Savings market
  • Regulatory and market knowledge required to hit the ground running
  • Experience of Savings product pricing and risk management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to build and foster strong business relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic partnerships, business planning, people and financial management.
