Role Description

Live Nation UK’s Research and Insights Team is seeking a resourceful and driven team player to join as a Director of Research and Insights.

The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, skilled in connecting and synthesising multiple data sets and sources to uncover key insights. You will report into the Head of Research and Insights to lead on R&I initiatives, translating data into impactful strategies with a clear commercial focus. Your ability to integrate diverse data streams will enable the business to make informed, strategic decisions that drive growth.

This role combines a passion for live music with expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, data synthesis and story telling. The R&I team is dedicated to empowering the business with a deep understanding of our live music fans. As a Director of R&I, you will collaborate across departments to enhance the event experience and provide actionable insights that help us better connect and engage our audience.

What the role includes

  • Support the Head of R+I to embed data and insights across the organisation, empowering teams to make informed decisions
  • Lead and execute both quant and qual research projects, balancing hands-on work with managing vendor-led initiatives.
  • Distil complex data into actionable insights that deliver measurable impact
  • Synthesise and consoldiate multiple data sets, including market research, first-party data, social media insights, for strategic decision making
  • Manage and lead social media listening strategies, capturing trends, sentiment, and consumer feedback to influence business strategies.
  • Present research findings clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders, ensuring ingishts are actionable and aligned with commercial outcomes.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Proven experience in market research and/or consumer insights from both client-side and agency environments
  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative methodologies (ie. MaxDiff, Conjoint, Segmentation) with the ability to design, analyse and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative methodologies, including drafting discussion guides and moderating focus groups.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial acumen to align research findings into business strategies and measurable outcomes
  • Strong communciation skills with a track record of presenting clear and compelling research findings to diverse internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in:
    • Statistical tools (e.g. Q/SPSS or equivalent)
    • Data visualisation platforms (e.g. Tableau) for creating dashboards and reports
    • Social media listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker) to extract actionable insights
