RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead regulatory consulting engagements following a risk-based approach, identifying control failings and operational weaknesses across a range of firms
  • Provide strategic, practical and commercially focused advice and support to clients, including senior stakeholders
  • Own, manage and develop senior client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and identifying opportunities to support clients further
  • Oversee the drafting, review and delivery of reports for firms and international regulators
  • Lead engagement teams, delegate work effectively, provide coaching and ensure outputs are delivered to a high standard
  • Collate, interpret and present complex data, visualising trends and patterns in performance to support clear recommendations
  • Design, prepare and deliver training sessions both internally and for clients
  • Lead the preparation of pitch documents and proposals for potential work, contributing to business development activity
  • Prepare articles and other thought leadership materials for distribution both internally and externally
  • Contribute to the growth of the Regulatory Consulting practice by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and strengthening Kroll’s market presence
  • Deliver on a wide range of engagements, including working in the following areas:
  • COBS
  • Asset management and general SYSC
  • Operational resilience
  • CONC/CMCs S166
  • Compliance Risk
  • Retail Conduct
  • Due Diligence
  • Governance/SYSC
  • Regulatory readiness


REQUIREMENTS:

  • We are looking for someone who is passionate, focused, collaborative and entrepreneurial. This role would suit a senior professional who can lead client delivery, use their own initiative and provide prompt, practical services to clients
  • Significant experience in regulation or compliance, ideally including experience gained within Consulting, Asset Management, Banking, Brokers, Investment Banks or the Regulator
  • Demonstrable experience leading regulatory consulting engagements and managing project teams
  • Strong background in financial services and a strong awareness of current issues facing the industry
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite, functional heads and operational leadership
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong presentational expertise and the ability to influence senior audiences
  • Commercially minded, client-facing and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify and support business development opportunities
  • Experience coaching, developing and supporting more junior colleagues
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • CISI or other relevant regulatory/compliance qualifications would be desirable
  • Degree in a related discipline such as economics, business studies, maths or similar would be desirable
