For us, tech has never been about just hardware or software. It’s about people. It’s our meaningful relationships, deep expertise and practical know-how in technology that drive what we do. We put our customers, our partners and the environment at the heart of everything we do and our people are the difference that make the difference.

At boxxe, we understand, we collaborate, we simplify, we care and we deliver; together we are making tech human.

Your Mission

The Director of Product will lead the development and scaling of our internal product function that creates differentiated innovation and capability, enabling market differentiation in how we sell strategic vendor products and solutions with managed services attached. This is a rare opportunity to operate with a start-up mindset inside a mature, £650m+ organisation, rapidly scaling the company’s existing capability into a multi-vendor, platform-based product ecosystem. This role requires a blend of strategic technical leadership, commercial acumen, and hands-on product expertise to build a high-performing product function that delivers measurable value, revenue growth and drives competitive advantage success in the market.

What you’ll be doing
  • Own and shape the end‑to‑end product strategy across vendor integrations, managed services, and internal platforms.
  • Drive innovation and differentiation, including the creation of proprietary IP that strengthens market position and demand.
  • Build a strong pipeline of new product ideas aligned to customer needs, market trends, and strategic vendor technologies.
  • Secure and manage product budgets, funding models, and business cases with clear ROI.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and align product strategy with wider business goals.
  • Encourage innovation through R&D initiatives, partnerships, and collaborative ways of working.
  • Own the product portfolio, prioritising investment and retiring underperforming products.
  • Define pricing models, SLAs, and commercial frameworks for products and IP.
  • Establish clear product lifecycle management from discovery through to optimisation.
  • Lead the delivery of digital products, service capabilities, and vendor‑integrated solutions with a strong customer focus.
  • Champion agile delivery, including backlog management and sprint planning, to accelerate time to market while ensuring all products meet high standards for quality, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Scale products as new vendors and technologies are introduced.
  • Embed automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and reusable IP to improve speed and reduce cost.
  • Validate success through pilots, adoption, revenue performance, and ROI tracking.
  • Own the operational lifecycle of products, including DevOps, support, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure stability, uptime, and operational excellence for all live products.
  • Implement monitoring and analytics to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
  • Manage technical debt and maintain scalable, modern product architecture.
  • Improve product and enablement documentation to support adoption and efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and grow a high‑performing, multidisciplinary product team.
  • Introduce modern product management practices that support transparency and accountability.
  • Set clear expectations and create a culture of ownership and high‑impact delivery.
  • Promote strong cross‑functional collaboration across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to monetise product capabilities through managed services and vendor‑aligned offerings.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Practice teams on value propositions and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Track market trends, competition, and technology developments in the UK reseller and MSP space.
  • Ensure product decisions are driven by customer insight, market data, and financial analysis.
What experience we think you’ll need
  • Proven track record leading product teams in a technology, MSP, VAR or SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of managed services and strategic vendor ecosystems (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, Dell, Microsoft Azure, HPE)
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management, roadmap planning, and agile delivery
  • Experience building or scaling platform-based product capabilities, ideally involving vendor integration
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic roadmaps and hands-on tactical execution
  • Experience managing technical products with operational dependencies (DevOps, support, service delivery)
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ability to build business cases, demonstrate ROI, secure investment and manage budgets
  • Ability to thrive in a scale-up environment—comfortable with ambiguity, proactive problem solving, and rapid iteration
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills

What success looks like

Within 12 months, the Director of Product will have:

  • Successfully integrated the boxxe Intelligence platform and value proposition across multiple strategic vendors.
  • Built a high-performing product function aligned to the organisational plan.
  • Demonstrated measurable commercial impact through increased win rates, attachment of managed services, and improved operational efficiency.
  • Embedded a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement
  • Adoption and utilisation of new product capabilities and features by internal and external customers.
