Role Purpose

Boku is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Product Management to lead the scale-up of our internal platform and tools portfolio, including data platform, developer enablement, and operational productivity. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering and technical operations teams.

You will oversee a team of three senior Technical Product Managers, each owning the Data Platform, Developer Platform, and Operations & Support Tools, while championing a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As a member of the Product Leadership team, you’ll shape how internal platforms unlock velocity across our organization, directly contributing to Boku’s growth and product delivery speed.


Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy
Define and articulate a clear and inspiring product vision for internal platforms and tools that improve engineering efficiency and transform the company’s internal productivity and output.

Roadmap Ownership & Prioritization
Drive a unified roadmap for internal productivity initiatives. Balance quick wins with long-term transformational goals while aligning with business priorities.

Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop a high-performing team of three senior Technical Product Managers. Provide coaching, unblock challenges, and create a supportive environment for career growth while ensuring their product roadmaps are ambitious and impactful.

Data Platform Partnership
Collaborate with the Data Platform team to expand data self-service capabilities. Champion tooling that enables internal stakeholders to access, explore, and leverage data independently.

Developer Experience Enhancement
Work closely with engineering leadership to deliver tools, frameworks, and processes that elevate developer productivity, reduce friction, and ensure high-quality code delivery in alignment with the best CI/CD practices and evolving security requirements.

Security & Compliance 
Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Engineering leadership to implement various secure coding practices in SDLC, vulnerability management, and access controls. Enhance security tooling, audits, and risk assessments while monitoring and addressing threats. 

Operational Tools Strategy
Partner with technical operations and support teams to identify gaps in automation and internal tooling. Build the roadmap that will expedite operational delivery either by introducing more reusable libraries or building internal applications.

Metrics & Performance Measurement
Define KPIs for platform usage, performance, and internal satisfaction. Regularly assess ROI and ensure ongoing alignment with business outcomes.

Cross-functional Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the product voice across engineering, operations, and product leadership. Influence cross-departmental initiatives and ensure alignment on technical investments.

Champion Product Excellence
Be the evangelist for best-in-class product management practices. With a kiloton of gravitas, you’ll act as an internal advocate for  user-centric design, outcome-driven development, and innovation.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years in a  hands-on technical role (software development, Data, Systems administration etc.), 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in a people leadership role managing other product managers or technical teams. A strong technical background is a critical requirement for understanding the needs of our engineering teams and helping them deliver robust, scalable and performant products.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling internal platforms or tools, ideally in an SME tech, fintech or high-growth B2B/B2C SaaS environment.
  •  of our engineering teams.Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, modern CI/CD practices, and internal developer workflows.
  • Deep understanding of data technologies, architectures, and best practices. 
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions, AWS is preferred though additional experience with other cloud vendors is also desirable.
  • Proven ability to drive internal adoption and engagement of tools and platforms.
  • Experience collaborating across global, cross-functional teams in numerous time zones  in matrixed environments.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, able to operate effectively from IC to C-suite level.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to navigate rapid change and evolving business needs.

  • Analytical mindset with expertise in tracking platform adoption and efficiency metrics. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and working style with a proven desire to tackle problems that may not have owners and may not be directly in this persons job description or list of responsibilities
  • Experience with data platforms (e.g., self-service analytics, ETL frameworks, database, etc), developer experience tooling(e.g., build/test/deploy automation, CI/CD), working knowledge about security, or building tooling (e.g., libraries and common components).
  • Passion for team empowerment, scaling operational maturity, and measuring success through impact, not output.
  • Familiarity with and an understanding of regulatory & compliance constraints in regulated financial environments.
