Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role 

Protocols are at the heart of Polygon's core technology stacks.  As the Director of PM for the protocol team, you’ll be building the technology and ecosystem that drives zkEVM and CDK.  You'll be working on challenging problems, collaborating with world-class engineers, and moving toward shared goals, all while staying hyper-focused on delivering great products that delight developers and end users.

Your Responsibilities 

You are comfortable working in ambiguity, taking charge, and driving cross-functional alignment to get a product to the finish line, overcoming obstacles as they arise. You will:

• Have a comprehensive understanding of the crypto space and Polygon’s strategy

• Have the ability to gather and use data (competitive info, customer interviews, etc) to build strong business cases

• Gather and write strong requirements for PRDs that establish help roadmaps and milestones

• Work with several stakeholders across all parts of the organization, e.g. engineering, TPM, BD, Enablement and leadership/founders etc to deliver critical product milestones

• Serve as the point person between leadership and technical teams, translating strategic goals into actionable roadmaps

• Have strong communication skills with the ability to cater to the audience that’s needed for each occasion

• Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members

What You’ll Need 

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar preferred

• 7+ years of product management experience managing successful products from inception to launch and beyond. 

• Deep understanding of Ethereum, L1s, and L2 scaling solutions. 

• Demonstrated ability to build a product vision and roadmap

• Experience coordinating a complete lifecycle of product development

• Self-starter with a strong bias for action

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DeFi and existing L2 stacks as a PM or user of the technology stack

• Familiarity with ZK technology 

• Experience leading product teams

• Leverage AI tools to streamline development, speed up data analysis, and automate tasks
