We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, POM Product Management – Data Solutions and Services (DSS) to join our team. This role is located in London.
We are seeking a Director-level Product Manager to play a critical leadership role in driving enterprise adoption of Data Solutions and Services (DSS) products, with an initial focus on master data integration across the bank. This role is central to advancing the Data North Star by ensuring trusted, interoperable data is consistently leveraged across platforms for greater efficiencies and insights.
This is a transformational, matrixed leadership role requiring strong product judgment, enterprise perspective, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across technology, data, and business functions.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Own product strategy and outcomes for enterprise master data adoption across key domains, including Client/Party, Contract, Security & Pricing, Product, and Reference Data, ensuring breadth of coverage while enabling domain-specific depth where needed.
- Drive enterprise-wide adoption of DSS products, partnering with senior leaders across multiple technology and data platforms to define adoption strategy, identify gaps, align roadmaps, and provide accountability.
- Act as a senior product leader shaping how master data, canonical data models, and enrichment capabilities are designed to work together, supporting interoperability and reuse within an evolving data mesh architecture.
- Influence the development of data products across the bank by setting clear expectations for usability, interoperability, and adoption, and by ensuring DSS products can be effectively consumed within federated product teams.
- Embed an AI-first mindset into product strategy, identifying and prioritizing opportunities where AI and advanced analytics can improve data quality, accelerate onboarding, reduce friction, and increase adoption by working in close partnership with engineering and data teams.
- Assess enterprise data maturity and adoption patterns, using insights related to data governance by design to drive more effective consumption of DSS products rather than duplicative or bespoke solutions.
- Operate as a trusted partner to executive and senior leaders, influencing and aligning stakeholders across platforms, disciplines, and Lines of Business to drive shared accountability for adoption outcomes.
- Define and track meaningful success measures for adoption and impact, translating complex platform progress into clear, outcome-oriented narratives for senior leadership.
- Serve as a visible advocate for product-led data practices, helping elevate how data products are conceived, delivered, and adopted across the enterprise.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Experience in financial services, with a strong track record in enterprise-scale data, platform, or technology transformation.
- Deep experience working with enterprise data, with strong understanding of master data concepts across multiple domains; hands-on master data delivery experience is a strong advantage but not required.
- Proven ability to drive enterprise adoption of products within complex, federated organizations, including influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong product leadership skills, with experience shaping strategy and outcomes in a product-led operating model, even where delivery is distributed across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures and practices (e.g., interoperable data products, data mesh concepts), and an appreciation for how AI can be applied pragmatically to improve outcomes.
- Solid grounding in data governance principles (quality, lineage, controls), with the ability to assess maturity and drive adoption of standards rather than enforce compliance through mandate.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and align executive-level stakeholders across engineering, architecture, data, operations, and business strategy.
- Strong analytical judgment and comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to translate complex enterprise challenges into clear product direction and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
