Primary Purpose
Lead, develop and mentor a high performing team across Private Brands Sourcing, Business Support and Operations.
Accountable for optimizing the Private Brands sourcing calendar, this leader will drive cost-of-goods savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiencies to strengthen ADUSA's competitive position. Additionally, they will manage the sourcing calendar, oversee supplier negotiations, and ensure achievement of annual Save for Customer savings target.
This position provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure cross-functional alignment on critical Private Brands business and category initiatives within the Center Store Private Brands Hub, directly influencing the success of a $4 billion COGS portfolio.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and mentor a high performing team across Private Brands Sourcing, Business Support and Operations by providing clear direction, coaching, and growth opportunities aligned to business needs and talent development goals.
  • Own the end-to-end Private Brands Sourcing Calendar for a $4 billion COGS portfolio by leading the Sourcing Team to plan, execute, and optimize sourcing events that deliver cost savings, mitigate risk, and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage sourcing budgets and deliver annual cost savings by negotiating with suppliers, evaluating contracts, and ensuring savings initiatives are executed with rigor and measured for impact.
  • Drive governance and accountability for all Private Brands strategic initiatives by establishing clear processes, tracking performance, and reporting progress within Private Brands and to key stakeholders across ADUSA.
  • Govern the Private Brands item and vendor development and maintenance process while collaborating with cross-functional partners for data accuracy and speed to market.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings and governance forums such as Private Brands Stage Gate Reviews, Private Brands Internal Desk Meetings and PB Hub Meetings to drive alignment, decision making and issue resolution.
  • Provides strategic oversight for process improvement initiatives by assessing current Private Brands operational processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and leading continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years relevant experience in private brands, sourcing or category management
  • 6+ years' experience in leadership roles
  • Ability to develop, lead and execute strategic plans in a complex organization.
  • Ability Proven ability to influence, motivate, align and lead cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
  • Knowledge of Private Brands, Sourcing, Supplier Negotiation and Contracts
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process efficiency, governance, and operational improvements.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders, suppliers, and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, generate insights and drive data informed decisions.
  • Change leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Executive level verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire high-performing teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Supply Chain Management or Business (or equivalent) preferred


ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $161,600 - $242,400
IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $185,840 - $278,760
