Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.

This role is hybrid.

As a Director, Paid Social, you will lead a portfolio of clients and be a senior, day‑to‑day owner of the client relationship and growth agenda in partnership with the senior Client Partner and Pod Leader as appropriate. You will align account team recommendations to client goals, set clear expectations, and foster trust with senior stakeholders by proactively creating high‑value moments to meet, present, and influence decisions. You’ll partner with internal leaders to resolve escalations quickly, connect Social to other channels (Search, Commerce/Retail Media, TVAD, Creative), and translate platform, competitive, and Bliss Point insights into executive‑ready actions. You will also own the financial health of your team and channel(s) for your clients (e.g. margin, utilization/capacity, and forecast accuracy, working closely with your Pod Leader and Finance.

Key responsibilities

Client‑Centric

  • Own senior‑stakeholder relationships and the growth agenda; turn business goals into a full‑funnel Social plan and secure alignment on options and trade‑offs.

  • Lead onboarding, transitions, and escalations with clarity and speed; bring renewal, expansion, and cross‑sell opportunities and support new business narratives.

Product‑Led

  • Orchestrate responsible use of platform automation and features across teams (e.g., Meta Advantage+/value optimization/CAPI, TikTok Smart Performance, Pinterest Performance+); pilot, measure, and scale.

  • Embed Bliss Point insights (Forecasting, Always‑On Incrementality, Creative Insights, Brand Equity) in planning and budget allocation; close feedback loops with Product and Analytics.

Data & Measurement‑Driven

  • Install simple, strong measurement habits: growth‑first innovations with clear success thresholds and read cadence (lift/holdout where feasible; otherwise sound A/Bs).

  • Ensure signal quality and data health (pixel/CAPI, event mapping/priorities, UTMs/GA4); require financial narratives (forecast vs. actual) and note model caveats in decisions.

The Tinuiti Way

  • Connect the dots across channels for clients: explain how Social complements Search, Commerce/Retail Media, CRM, TV/Audio, and Creative; propose integrated plans and a straightforward measurement approach to prove combined lift.

  • Codify reusable playbooks; educate clients and internal teams; stay current on industry and platform shifts and bring pragmatic innovation.

Owner Mindset

  • Think and act like an owner: eliminate recurring waste at root, make change safe (guardrails, rollback), close issues fast, publish before/after results, and share adoptable playbooks; steward financials (margin, utilization/capacity, forecast accuracy).

People Leader

  • Build and lead a high‑performing team: clear KPIs, weekly 1:1s, timely feedback, skill development, and a succession bench; hire and onboard well.

  • Install or uphold governance (standards, scorecards, QA cadence) that sustains quality and consistency across teams; coach managers to lead the system.

Ways of working and values

  • Greatness attracts Greatness: Raise the craft bar; seek feedback; embrace new tools and AI.

  • Clients grow, we grow: Anchor decisions in business outcomes with innovation, precision, and proof.

  • Culture of ownership: Act with speed, reduce waste, and own results end‑to‑end.

Professional & Technical Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in Paid Social with proven results at scale across multiple platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit; LinkedIn/X as relevant).

  • People leadership: 3+ years managing managers and senior ICs preferred; hiring, coaching, performance, and succession.

  • Cross‑channel literacy and communication: able to connect Social to Search, Commerce/Retail Media, TVAD, and Creative in simple, persuasive narratives.

  • Product/measurement: Meta Advantage+/value, TikTok Smart Performance, Pinterest Performance+; GA4 and platform analytics; can set growth‑first innovations with clear thresholds and reads; translate Bliss Point insights into plans.

  • Channel financial acumen: Partners with Pod Leader/Finance on margin, utilization, capacity for your team

  • Executive presence: clear, concise storytelling; expectation setting; confident with senior clients and internal leaders.

KPIs

  • Client outcomes: growth in qualified reach, new customers, revenue, and LTV; efficiency within guardrails (CAC/ROAS).

  • Innovation: steady flow of growth‑focused innovations adopted (creative, audience, bidding, format), with decisions and learnings recorded.

  • Product/AI: responsible rollout and adoption of platform automation and Bliss Point‑guided allocations with proven, incremental impact.

  • Data/ops quality: high pixel/CAPI/event fidelity; minimal “learning limited”; quick time‑to‑resolution and prevention of repeat issues.

  • Financials: margin/utilization within targets; staffing aligned to priority; forecast accuracy within tolerance.

  • People outcomes: engagement/retention of key roles; capability growth; succession readiness; strong manager practices.

  • Integrated impact: measurable lift from cross‑channel plans (Tinuiti Way).
