Job Overview: 

IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and contract research services to the life sciences industry, is seeking a Director/Senior Director Strategy & Business Operations r to join our innovative team. This role will be pivotal in defining and executing the strategy and business operations activities of our Patient and Site Centric Solution Organization within Clinical Operations and ensuring alignment with broader Clinical Operations and R&DS goals. This role will serve as the critical link across multiple departments within Patient and Site Centric Solutions and the broader Clinical Operations, Business Development & Finance Leadership Teams.

The Patient and Site Centric Solutions department is made up of a variety of units focused on Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment & Retention, Site Support Services, Decentralized Trials and Site and Patient Insights and Strategic Site Networks.

The Strategy & Business Operations role will be responsible for the following main duties:

  • Business Oversight and Governance: Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Establish and lead activities related to Business & Operational Governance and be directly responsible for highlighting risks, issues and solutions to support business growth.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as Senior Leadership point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Providing executive reporting and insights and supporting collaboration across R&DS, Commercial & Real World Evidence.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to align business operations with overall company strategy.
  • Manage risk across the customer portfolio.
  • Serve as a Senior customer-facing linkage between IQVIA and the customer’s organization, developing relationships and liaising with other customer functional and outsourcing groups as applicable.
  • Chair relevant  Governance Committees as needed
  • Support Sales, Contracts, and Proposals, and financial tracking and related business matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Life Science, Business Management, or related field required.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, CRO, or related industry, including clinical operations, commercial, and/or alternative operational functions (e.g., business development, data management, project management, laboratory, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to customer expectations.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent matrix and cultural team leadership skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with a thorough understanding of company margins, pricing strategies, and profitability measures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with senior management, peers, and customers.
