The Role  

We are seeking a Director of Growth for LiveScore Media to join LiveScore Group and lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that drive growth through strategic partnerships and product innovation. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of the sports betting and media industries, along with a proven track record of successfully implementing commercial strategies. 

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced professional with a passion for sports and the sports betting industry. They should be able to demonstrate a successful history of generating revenue from partnerships and possess a robust network of contacts within these sectors. In this position, you will manage a high-performing team responsible for generating advertising sales for LiveScore Media and play a critical role in enhancing our commercial initiatives and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities   

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth through existing relationships, new partnerships and media ownership, overseeing sales, programmatic, and AdOps functions for coordinated growth. 
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new partnerships with sports teams, leagues, media outlets, and relevant organisations, and develop and implement sales plans to generate revenue. 
  • Manage and optimise existing partnerships to meet financial and marketing objectives, while actively tracking, analysing, and enhancing their performance for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the product team to leverage the best commercial opportunities and working closely with marketing to optimise user acquisition spend.
  • Monitor industry trends and user growth, leveraging insights to inform strategies and adapt to changing market dynamics, while investigating fluctuations and negative trends to determine causes and inform commercial approaches.
  • Leverage industry expertise in sports betting and media to shape strategy and execution, keeping informed about market challenges and opportunities.
  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for advertising sales at LiveScore Media, fostering a collaborative culture and promoting diversity and inclusion, while maintaining a visible presence in the office to ensure effective communication across teams.
  • Apply strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate trends, develop innovative solutions, and drive overall business initiatives while effectively managing inventory to maximise revenues.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience 

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and develop effective commercial strategies. 
  • Track record of driving revenue growth through successful partnerships and leading high-performing teams, demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop talent. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering strong relationships internally and externally. 
  • Proven experience in overseeing complex functions, contributing to strategic decision-making at the director level. 
  • Deep understanding of the sports betting industry, market trends, and stakeholder dynamics. 
  • Expertise in sports marketing and media, leveraging channels to maximise engagement. 
  • Experience with data analytics and CRM to enhance customer experiences and commercial performance. 
  • Strong financial acumen, capable of assessing financial statements and navigating complex negotiations. 
  • Passionate about sports, with a solid industry network to unlock new opportunities. 
  • Creative problem-solver, able to develop innovative commercial solutions while championing diversity and inclusion. 
  • Ability to resolve conflicts constructively and adapt to dynamic circumstances, maintaining ethical integrity in all professional dealings.
