What you’ll do at Elekta 
At Elekta, we don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer. The Director, Global People Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for the People Services team. The position holder will have the responsibility to maximize the People Services capability and ensure that effective People Services delivery is provided at the highest standards to employees within the organization.

The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Actively and proactively manage, coach, and develop the global team to ensure that proactive and advanced People Services advice and expertise is delivered to the business.
  • Ensure global harmonization and a strong and sustainable delivery across the function focusing on quality improvement of transactional services.
  • Be the core driver of new automation initiatives and changes to ways of working across People Services with goal to improve efficiency meeting governance and control requirements.
  • Analyse the costs, value, and risks of the People Services model and drive optimization.
  • Expand the Shared Service Center (SSC) model to support the wider function and provide global support to the organization.
  • Establish and maintain the governance framework for payroll services across all regions. 
  • Anticipate key trends, opportunities and vulnerabilities and position functional support to ensure that Elekta’s People infrastructure and systems can support the demands of current programs and future growth.
  • Together with the global people insights team, ensure our record-keeping and data processing procedures comply with GDPR requirements.
  • Contribute to overall strategy, leadership, values, culture, and decision-making through active membership of the HR Leadership team.

The right stuff 

  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills including building capability within a large, global HR team.
  • Culturally savvy, proven ability to work alongside and get results in a diverse cultural environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate and influence multiple stakeholder groups at all levels.
  • Good negotiation skills, capable of rationale, structured, and logical thinking.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the capability to think strategically and identify opportunities for improvement.

What you bring

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business administration, Economics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (mainly from the People Operations area), preferably gained in a dynamic, matrix and change oriented global organization with process complexity.
  • Experience of operating and leading an HR Shared Services model through transformation and change.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of transformational change with the ability to control cost and reduce spend by driving efficiency projects.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Process oriented with a strategic mindset, analytic skills and data-driven working method.
