The Director of Finance will establish the company's finance function, build financial models, drive strategic finance initiatives, and prepare for investor relations.
About Codeway
We build consumer apps used by over 500 million people worldwide. Since launching in 2020 with a small team in Istanbul, we’ve grown into a global operation generating $400M+ ARR profitable, self-funded and moving fast.
Our portfolio spans productivity, edtech, wellness, and entertainment, with category leaders such as Cleanup, Retake AI, and Learna AI.
We’re entering a new chapter: potential spin-offs, selective exits, and longer-term strategic moves. To support this evolution, we’re building a finance function for the first time.
About the Role
This will be Codeway’s first senior finance hire. You will report directly to the CEO and build the company’s financial planning and strategic finance capability from the ground up.
This is not a role where you inherit a team or an existing playbook. There is currently no FP&A function, no formal planning cycle, and no dedicated strategic finance layer. You will establish the foundations and over time, build and lead the team behind them.
What You’ll Own
FP&A - Immediate Priority
◦ Build robust financial models at both app and vertical level
◦ Establish budgeting and forecasting cycles
◦ Define, monitor, and refine core unit economics (LTV, CAC, ROAS, payback periods)
◦ Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leadership real-time visibility into performance
Strategic Finance
◦ Lead the financial architecture behind major company decisions
◦ Drive portfolio evaluation and capital allocation strategy
◦ Structure potential spin-offs
◦ Build the financial case for strategic transactions, including IPO readiness
Investor Relations - Building Toward
◦ Shape the company’s equity story
◦ Develop board-level materials and institutional-grade reporting
◦ Benchmark against public consumer app peers
◦ Build the narrative expected by long-term institutional investors
What You’ll Bring
◦ Experience in a high-growth consumer tech, mobile, or gaming company — ideally within the $100M–$500M revenue range. You’ve seen what scaling a finance function requires and have been hands-on in building it.
◦ Strong fluency in app store economics, subscription models, and digital revenue dynamics. This is a consumer apps business, you should be deeply comfortable operating in that environment.
◦ A track record of building from zero. You’ve established FP&A processes, built planning frameworks, or played a meaningful role in IPO readiness or major transactions.
◦ Comfort operating at speed and in ambiguity. You don’t rely on established processes, you create them.
◦ The confidence to challenge leadership constructively, combined with the maturity to operate effectively in a founder-led, product-driven culture.
What We Offer
◦ The opportunity to build an entire finance function at real scale — $400M+ ARR, 500M+ users, and a clear growth trajectory.
◦ Direct reporting line to the CEO.
◦ Barcelona preferred. London considered for the right profile. Relocation support available.
