Position Summary

Kyriba is seeking an experienced Head of External Communications based in the UK. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive PR and external communications strategies that elevate Kyriba's brand and position us as a thought leader in the financial technology and treasury management space. In this role, you will partner closely with our PR agency, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership to drive media relations, develop compelling content, and maximise the impact of corporate announcements and customer success stories.
 

Key Responsibilities

PR Programme Execution

  • Execute global PR strategies that position Kyriba as a leader in treasury and liquidity management solutions

  • Develop proactive media strategies for corporate milestones, product launches, customer wins, and company news

  • Build and maintain relationships with tier-1 and industry-specific media, journalists and editors across key markets

  • Support crisis communications planning and reputation management
     

Kyriba TV & Content Development

  • Support the development and launch of Kyriba TV as a content platform for video thought leadership, customer stories and industry insights

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to create compelling video content that demonstrates Kyriba's expertise

  • Partner with marketing teams to distribute content and measure performance
     

Corporate Communications

  • Lead external storytelling for corporate announcements including partnerships, customer wins and strategic initiatives

  • Draft press releases and ensure consistency and quality across all announcements

  • Coordinate timing and messaging across corporate, product and customer new

Content Messaging & Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to align external messaging with business priorities

  • Develop messaging frameworks that translate technical capabilities into compelling business narratives

  • Ensure consistency of voice and narrative across all customer-facing content
     

Executive Communications Support

  • Support C-level executives and senior leaders in preparation for media engagement and speaking opportunities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and execute integrated campaigns

  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to deliver high-quality work
     

PR Agency Management

  • Manage external PR agency partners to drive results and strategic value

  • Provide clear direction and ensure agencies deliver against agreed KPIs

  • Optimise agency performance through regular feedback and collaboration
     

Thought Leadership

  • Support positioning of Kyriba executives as trusted voices on treasury management and financial technology

  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities at industry conferences, webinars and roundtables

  • Coordinate bylined article and contributed content programs for business and trade publications
     

Requirements
  • 7+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or external communications roles within B2B technology, SaaS or financial services

  • Proven track record executing successful PR programmes and media campaigns

  • Strong media relationships across UK, European, and global business and technology press

  • Experience creating or supporting video content programmes or branded content initiatives

  • Ability to translate complex technical products into compelling business stories

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Experience managing external agencies and vendor relationships

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
     

Desired Attributes
  • Experience in fintech, enterprise software, or treasury/financial management sectors

  • Familiarity with content distribution strategies across earned, owned and social channels

  • Understanding of analyst relations and industry evaluations

  • Passion for storytelling and building brand reputation in competitive markets
