Who is Atominvest

Our software powers the world’s leading investment firms (across private equity, VC, infrastructure, credit etc.) enabling them to efficiently manage and drive value across their core business functions of investing, fundraising, operations and sustainability.

At Atominvest, you’ll be working on something very exciting: the future of work, investments and sustainability/ ethical investing for the world’s best investors, and delivering a positive impact through this. Based on the growth we are experiencing, we think we’re on to something big.

It won’t be easy. Joining a scale up business is an amazing and rewarding challenge, pushing well beyond the boundaries of natural growth cycles. You’ll move quicker than feels comfortable, and be brilliant at continually re-prioritizing what must get done to keep Atominvest growing year over year at the pace of the best SAAS companies on the planet.

We’ve gone from zero to ten, now we’re looking to go from ten to one hundred!

The role:

This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a world-class product and engineering organization at a company primed for significant growth. You’ll work closely with our CTO, Head of Product, and cross-functional leaders to shape the technical vision, drive execution, and scale our engineering team and capabilities.

We’re looking for a seasoned engineering leader—someone who’s transitioned from being a strong developer to an inspiring, strategic leader. Ideally, you bring experience from the fintech space, have worked with asset managers or financial institutions, and understand the nuances of building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms.

You’ll help define and foster the engineering culture we aspire to: fast-moving, product-oriented, high-performing, and craftsmanship-driven.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead & Scale: Manage and grow a high-performing engineering and product team with a strong culture of delivery.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CTO, Head of Product, and executive team to plan and prioritize tech initiatives.

  • Technical Leadership & Support: Drive key product and technical decisions across our suite of offerings + own technical processes across technical R&D, code-reviews, infrastructure/ devops management, cybersecurity etc.

  • Process Optimization: Establish and refine engineering processes to improve efficiency, collaboration, and code quality.

  • Talent Development: Hire, mentor, and retain top engineering talent.

  • Client Focus: Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases to deliver impactful and innovative solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, infrastructure, devops, and security teams to ensure smooth execution.

If this sounds like what you’d love to be doing, we can’t wait to hear from you!

Your skills:

  • Deep familiarity / experience in our software stack (React, Node, Mongo, AWS)

  • 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering and/or engineering leadership

  • Background in software development and/or a degree in a STEM field

  • Proven success in shipping high-quality, enterprise-grade SaaS products

  • Strong experience working across product, engineering, devops, and security functions

  • A structured yet flexible approach to team building, process design, and quality assurance

  • A passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing engineers

  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to balance speed and scalability

  • Natural curiosity and drive to explore problems, iterate on product ideas, and innovate under constraints

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation (fixed base salary + performance incentives)

  • 20 days of holiday per year + bank holidays + a week off for Christmas

  • Hybrid working style (a minimum of 3 days in our central London office is required)

  • Cycle2Work scheme

  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support employee wellness

  • A culture of trust, ownership, responsibility and autonomy in your work

  • An incredible team of smart and mission-driven people to work with

  • Fun working atmosphere

  • Significant growth opportunities

  • Company-wide socials and events
