Job Title:                  Director, Engineering – GVC International

Reporting to:           Managing Director, GVC International

Role Overview

Objectives: As a key member of the GVC International management team, the role will ensure the successful design, implementation and delivery of a wide range of Video Collaboration and IT Services projects.  Working with cross-functional teams in the UK, USA and Canada you will lead a team of experienced engineers and project managers and work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure seamless quote to cash operational workflows and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key tasks undertaken:

  • Management of the Project Management team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of customer projects
  • Management of sub-contractors and field engineering resources
  • Management, negotiation and review of key suppliers commercial terms and conditions
  • Oversight of relevant qualifications and training to ensure up to date industry knowledge and experience
  • Working with the finance team and project managers to ensure the profitable delivery of projects and adherence to New Era Technology’s commercial terms
  • Management, co-ordination and production of major bids and tenders and execution of New Era Technology’s Major Project Review Process
  • Management, technical guidance and governance of the Solutions Engineering team
  • Team management, prioritisation, accountability and performance
  • Governance of New Era Technology pricing policies and margins
  • Supporting the team as necessary to ensure deadlines and priorities are met

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of managing technical and project teams in the IT and Video Collaboration Sectors.
  • Financial acumen and managing to budget and timescales.
  • Experience of working with prime contractors and/or major construction companies.
  • Demonstrable history delivering large complex collaboration projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Project management (Prince2, PMI, Agile).
  • Knowledge and experience of complex system integration design.

Additional Information:

  • Full-time position
  • Hours – 09:00 – 17:30
  • 25 days holiday
  • All standard New Era benefits apply
  • Location: the role will be based at our Slough office but there will be a requirement to attend Customer sites. There is the potential opportunity for hybrid working following probation period and dependent on business needs.
