About the Role:

Data Transformation & Tech is the data analytics and insights team at OMD EMEA. We support all clients in our agency and help them apply advanced analytics to understand their consumers and how to grow their business.  The DTT team consists of the below main disciplines:

  • Insight: Consumer insight focused team, identifying target groups and how to reach them.
  • Data Sciences: Our analytics unit where we conduct ad-hoc projects and client-focused studies.
  • Business Intelligence: A mix of product development specialists and consultants supporting both planners and clients make better data-driven decisions.
  • Data Management and Visualisation: Visualisation, technology and data specialists solving complex data-related problems to provide clear and effective insight back to clients.

This role sits within the Data Management and Visualisation discipline within the wider Marketing Intelligence team.

We are looking for a Data Management and Visualisations Director to lead the development of high-impact, client-facing dashboards and reporting solutions. This role combines leadership with active delivery, requiring an individual who can translate complex data into compelling visual narratives for senior stakeholders on our newly won Shark Ninja EMEA remit.

We are increasingly involved in ensuring all media activity is delivered following not only overall best practice guidelines, but also with complex and detailed processes and rules. We require an experienced candidate with a high level of understanding of the media environment to not only devise and support these processes, but to also ensure that these are being observed throughout the OMD network in EMEA and beyond.

This role would ideally be best suited to someone who has strong media experience with reporting on large scale campaigns on multiple ad-servers, and who is now looking to take that experience into a wider leadership role.  There will be a focus to lead operations for necessary communication across OMD markets & partner agencies to manage data, quickly resolve errors and identify opportunities to evolve projects.

Comfortable with gathering requirements from internal and/or external stakeholders, develop scopes of work through to successful delivery of final visualisation and automated reporting solutions the ideal candidate will be a proactive, problem-solver who thrives on thinking outside of the box and collaborating with our team of data experts to develop innovative data solutions.  They will use a variety of tools, practices, and processes to deliver best in class projects across our client base. You should also be comfortable with ETL processes and be familiar with cloud-based backend data architecture.

We are looking for a strong leader, with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is as comfortable in front of a client as they are mentoring and growing more junior members of the team. Having excellent communication skills with ability to showcase achievements and promote solutions to the wider agency with a positive motivational team ethic.

Ideally, your career experience has been gained in media agency/marketing agency, and you are comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and juggling priorities.

Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
