Job Description:
Director Data and Back Office enablement will be responsible for leading a team and supporting the development and enablement of Back Office and eProduction capabilities across all McDonald's segments and markets globally.
You will liaise with segments, corporate and business stakeholders to ensure product and deployment roadmaps are aligned with the business priorities and planning cycles. You will ensure the team and suppliers are sufficiently resourced and skilled to deliver product and programmes required to support McDonald's Global Technology strategic objectives.
What will my accountabilities be?

  • Stategic Programme Alignment: Provide thought leadership for the Global Back Office solutions ecosystems and the restaurant production environment within McDonald's and ensure all globally approved solutions are supporting McDonald's strategic aims.
  • Solution Ecosystem: Lead connections between stakeholders, Back Office suppliers, and the eProduction team ensuring product readiness for the effective implementation of global programmes. Ensure global programmes such as POS, Supply Chain etc. work with Back Office and eProduction in the development of new services and capabilities.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor the service performance and solution capabilities of suppliers, ensure that global segments and markets are provided with the contracted services and drive value for money solution building.
  • Vendor Management Alignment: Maintain close alignment with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and ensure service levels and contractual obligations are met by all suppliers.
  • Manage Supplier Performance Issues: Manage any remediation required with suppliers to address poor or failing supplier performance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining the quality of service.
  • Deliver Market and Segment alignment: Keep segment and market technology leadership up to date on changing or new product capabilities and desired deployment targets
  • Enable technology in segment business units and markets: Align and agree deployment roadmaps with product teams, segment, and market technology. Ensure deployment partners have sufficient capacity for deployment and
  • Team Development: Lead the team to ensure there is effective resource planning, clear priorities and development plans in place so that the team are able to achieve team and individual goals.


Key Measures:

  • Product roadmaps are documented and transparent to segment and market
  • Annual demand and capacity planning cycle is executed
  • Deployment roadmaps are agreed and delivered
  • Implemented platforms and solutions deliver business values as expected
  • Supplier performance is monitored and evaluated on a global scale
  • A global back office solutions portfolio is available for markets to retire legacy
  • Back office solution providers understand McDonald's future strategic demand; back office product roadmaps are transparent to McDonald's stakeholders


What Team will I be a part?
You will be working as part of the Data and Back Office enablement team, leading the team responsible for overseeing and managing the Global Back Office Portfolio and eProduction which are all used across tens of thousands of restaurants globally.
Who are my customers?
You will manage the development, deployment and third party supplier services for Back Office and eProduction and ensure all applications support global strategic iniatives across all markets and segments within McDonald's.
What background do I need to have?
Skills/Knowledge

  • Managing and developing successful teams: Skilled in developing and fostering a strong team spirit with geographically dispersed teams
  • Customer-first working: An orientation towards prioritizing the needs and experiences of all stakeholders and continuously seeking system improvements to enhance value for all.
  • Supplier Management: Experience in managing suppliers, including evaluating supplier performance, managing contract negotiations, and resolving issues.
  • Building strong relationships and influencing leadership and stakeholders:Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Comfortable making recommendations to internal and external stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to evaluate the business's needs and contribute strategically to decision-making processes, aligning with the company's overall objectives and strategies.
  • Technical Expertise: Understanding of Back Office and Production Management software solutions, system architectures, and integration mechanisms with other business applications like POS systems, inventory management systems, etc.
  • Programme Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex programmes, ideally with experience in business change and IT transformation programmes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum University degree of Bachelor Level
  • Project management qualification is desired
  • Fluent in English and have strong written communication skills
  • Availability to travel of up to 20% of work time
