The Director Consumer Solutions will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share through direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) channels. This role will develop and execute business strategy and strategic sales plans, manage key partnerships, optimise digital sales funnels, and lead a team to achieve ambitious revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the UK consumer credit and financial services landscape, a proven track record in driving revenue growth, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

1. Business Leadership, Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive D2C and B2B2C growth strategies aligned with Equifax UK's overall business objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and sales channels.

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and competitor research to inform strategic decision-making including pricing strategy, channel strategy and alliances.

  • Drive market input and requirements for consumer solutions product management & marketing (who have a dotted line into this role)

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Forecast revenue and manage sales budgets effectively.

2. D2C Sales Channel Management:

  • Optimise the digital sales funnel to maximise conversion rates and customer acquisition.

  • Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to drive D2C sales through online channels (website, mobile app, etc.).

  • Utilise data analytics to understand customer behaviour and personalise the online sales experience.

  • Manage and improve the online customer journey, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.

  • Monitor and manage online sales performance, reporting on key metrics and trends.

  • Work with marketing teams to improve SEO, PPC, and other digital marketing strategies.

3. B2B2C Partnership Management:

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with businesses that can distribute Equifax products and services to their customer base, in coordination with the broader Partnerships team.

  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential partners.

  • Provide ongoing support and training to partners to ensure successful product integration and sales performance.

  • Monitor and analyse partner performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key partner stakeholders.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.  

  • Identify training and development needs for team members and provide opportunities for growth.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.

5. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate regular revenue reports and dashboards to track performance against KPIs.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Present performance reports and recommendations to senior management.

  • Maintain accurate sales records and documentation.

What Experience You Need:

  • Strong understanding of the UK consumer credit market and regulatory environment.

  • Experience in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies.

  • Proven track record of success in D2C and B2B2C sales, ideally within the financial services or consumer credit industry.

  • Proven ability to manage and grow strategic partnerships.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Analytical and data-driven approach to growth..

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience in managing budgets and forecasting.
