As a Director, Business Development at ICON, you will drive growth and strategic partnerships by identifying new business opportunities and enhance client relationships.
What You Will Do:
As a Director Business Development, you will generate new and repeat business for FIRECREST by promoting ICON's services to the Biotechnology, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Industries. Work with the various internal functions to develop and refine the go-to-market strategy, manage the FIRECREST sales team and processes.
You will drive the FIRECREST business development effort. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with ICON's overall objectives and market opportunities.Refining go to market strategy
- Achievement of annual sales target for FIRECREST
- Managing the team of Solutions Consultants, setting standards and developing your team.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth
- Establishing partnerships with external stakeholders to leverage insights and trends.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including collaborations, partnerships, and client engagement initiatives.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners to drive growth and enhance ICON's reputation.
- Leading proposal development efforts and presenting innovative solutions to prospective clients.
- Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for growth.
Your Profile:
You will bring significant business development experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
8+ years of experience in Contract Research Organization or a pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical Company, in Business Development role or Project Management / leading multiple multinational clinical trials and successful product approvals.
Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and the needs of clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Prior experience at management levels working in and/or leading teams. Ability to lead others to move internal teams towards achieving goals that support Firecrest’s growth.
- Extensive experience in business development within the clinical research or healthcare sector, with a proven track record of driving growth.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
Strong analytical and business acumen skills and strong creativity skills; focused and disciplined.
Strong presentation skills; experience speaking publicly and/or presenting to existing or potential clients on topics related to Firecrest.
Comfortable working both internally and externally with technical and medical experts providing input into future product strategies.
Ability to travel (approximately 30-40%) domestic and/or international.
