Job Summary

To support our exceptional team in Global Services and Solutions that build outstanding Value-Added Fulfilment and Circular Economy supply chain solutions to contribute to our growth, we are seeking to hire a Director Business Development, preferably based near one of our GSS locations in Europe, but also able to work remotely.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Account Management, the Director Business Development, will be In-charge of qualifying new customers, developing relationship and business with them, achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned unipersonal and team targets. It is an individual contributor role.

What a typical day looks like:   

  • Develop new strategic alliances with key customers.
  • Research and recognize customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources were mutually beneficial.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team and the Finance Department to control budgets within the department.
  • Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex's solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services hold up and reverse logistics.
  • Represent Flex Ways of Working when interacting with internal & external contacts.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • 5+ years of experience in Forward/Reverse Logistics, Repair, Refurb, Circular Economy or other services related actions.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, or business.
  • Experience in progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience.
  • Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques.
  • Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L, balance sheets, ROI indicators, taking actions to meet customers’ needs and Flex targets.
  • Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives, and key clients.
  • Experience building relationships while working directly with customers.
  • Ability to Travel & Work non-traditional hours. Our sites are spread across Asia, Europe & the Americas.  It will be key to identify someone who is willing to travel (guide 30%) and be flexible to work non-standard hours to have consistent communications with all our locations
